the blues purist years 1962 to early 1965,or the english pop mid 65 to mid 67,the flower power of We love you/dandelion and T.S.M.R. or the country blues and ground breaking rock of the 68/69 era
I;m waiting on the exile era to post I;m really reluctant to talk about exile ,what can I say or anybody else say on that subject that hasn;t been said,I would love teenagers reveview of Exile just to hear what they think PS I,m currently listening to Englands Newest Hitmakers for Brain!!
I like it all also 62/06 but clearly fans have their favorite era ,I like Dirty Work better than Exile somedays, depends on whats happening at that moment I could go on and on but I wont ,I can go through the whole catalog.all I hear is 68/72--68//////72--68/72 neglecting 35 plus years of music
My favorite years of the band must be from '68 - '78. Ten years of greate rock'n roll, not leaving any of the three "second" guitar players out They made their coolest records within these years, and were the hottest live band.
I'd say from the Stones first self penned no1 single The Last Time through to Goats Head Soup and the 73 European Tour.
The Stones run of great singles during the sixties is incredible and should never be overlooked. I only wish the Stones would be a little more willing to perform the songs from this period.
