Quotekleermaker BTW: does someone still listen to the 5 alternates? I don't. Can you (or anyone) please explain what the alternates are? From different shows? Rehearsal footage? BTW, just picked up my copy from Best Buy, just to get the $3 off coupon for Hyde Park. I haven't had a chance to open/listen yet.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTurner68 Quotekleermaker QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotekleermaker QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteStoneage William is, in a way, the most talkative Stone. He's the one that actually says someting from time to time. And he's more down to earth and easy-going than the rest of them. And more bitter... Probably not without reason. I don't see the same bit

QuoteBrstonesfan Quote71Tele The treated him the same as Mick Taylor, vengefully and childishly, which is why I am no longer a fan of this band, at least in its current configuration. 100% correct..very disappointing that the band I love and have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars seeing the past 40 years, is lead by two (2) very mean spirited, petty, guys. So Taylor was treated that badly?

QuoteStoneage To be fair; he made his own choice. So true. And so amazing how so many take this one point of view to conclude how horrible the rest of the Stones are. This is what misunderstandings are all about - probably from the Stones point of view, they were being generous ... by the way, they do have a regular bass player on board, is it that fair to say to him 'you can't play

I love the Pretenders ... I got to see them open for the Stones back around 2002 or thereabouts. I consider that a female opening act.

I like it a lot. It is definitely down towards the bottom half of my Stones albums in terms of preference, but that is because they have so many great albums. Sing This All Together (See What Happens) is definitely 'skip' material, but all the rest are very good songs, or better.

As a huge fan of Audioslave (never listened much to Rage Against The Machine), I LOVE the Morello solos. I know many hate it, but there is something mesmerizing about them. But technically, I'd have to go w/ Slash, but I just like Audioslave songs more. Probably a lot also has to do w/ Cornell on vocals -- amazing!!

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteLeonidP didn't the original spanish version have a different tracklisting? I thought that Let It Rock was included in place of Sister Morphine, or something like that. you are correct sir. the Franco regime wouldn't allow the original sexualish cover so they went with a violent one, and didn't want the drug referenced Sister Morphine so they switched in

Such a fantastic song! When I read those interviews with Keith talking about his & Ronnie's weaving guitars, this song comes to mind, along w/ several others on the Some Girls album. What a serious kick-a$$ rocker!

Bill has his own share of BS too. I recall in his book how he talks abou the early days, he & brian would go out and look to get laid, while Keith and Mick would be holed up writing new songs. And then later in his book he expresses bitterness over sharing of songwriting ... he should have thought of that early on, eh?

I always liked this one, as I do all the earlier albums, but maybe not quite as much. They definitely did some quite interesting experimental things here, with She Smiled Sweetly, Cool/Calm, My Obsession. Top tracks? The singles of course! Connection too! Miss Amanda Jones - killer, and it has an appearance in that Can't Buy Me Love movie. And, not sure how others feel about this
