Quotebarbabang Really great track. Still holds up. Best Stones song in ages. Really. (In my opinion of course.) I have to agree. Easily my favorite on the bonus release. Well not 'easily', as Signifying comes close.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteLeonidP QuoteHMS How can one be a Stones-fan and at the same time not liking this song... ummm .... because it's not that good. He he, you're still discussing your favourite song in here Some songs just don't do it for me. Considering all the Stones songs I love compared to the ones I don't, they still are fairing pretty good!

Quotebitusa2012 I am starting to think His Majesty and HMS are the same person, just arguing amongst himself to get a rise out of the rest of us ;-)) agreed, and it's about the same as arguing w/ a 5-year-old.

Quotehypnohighball Quotekeefriffhards No need to re visit Main Offender, I never left it I'm still sulking because i heard Keith won't tour behind Crosseyed Heart The Japan cd has a bonus track, too : "Key To The Highway". ... which oddly is the exact same track/version that was on Johnny Johnson's "Johhny B. Bad", featuring Keith, of course! And release 2

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteLeonidP I'm not saying they were punk. Certainly they weren't. ... And that going by the definition of what punk is (or what it was about), the Stones fell into that category for their first 12-15 years or so, before that ever had a definition. Make yer mind up. Loads of musicians have been rebellious etc before and after them and like The Rolling S

Quote24FPS QuoteLeonidP Quote24FPS ...Charlie and Bill are lost as a reggae rhythm section... Check your hearing, immediately! Well, they can't be expected to be masters of every musical turn this pop group took. Reggae is deceptively simple. Just not convincing. Well they have me convinced, and somehow managed to convince the Marley/Tosh/Toots/Cliff etc. of the reggae world.

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteLeonidP Yes, you've said. But just saying it over and over doesn't make it so. Same goes for you and reviews saying they are punk. >< The Some Girls supposed attempts at punk essentially just ended up being pop/rock songs. I'm not saying they were punk. Certainly they weren't. I am saying it's ridiculous to deny the punk influence in

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteLeonidP Punk? Not punk? What's the difference, the songs are still amazing. But to that topic, to those that say no punk, I think they are missing a big part of what punk is ... first of all, this gets lumped in as 'punk' because it was highly publicized in the press at that time, as the Stones answer to punk. In addition, punk is not only about he fast

Quotekowalski QuoteLeonidP going thru my songs ... i may have found a release that I don't think was mentioned here ... I only have it as MP3 so not sure if it was an officially released album, but there was a 12-12-12 Sandy Relief, with 2 Stones live tracks, You Got Me Rocking and JJF Both songs were officially released on the 12-12-12 CD. Not exactly a "from the vaults" release

QuoteLongBeachArena72 QuoteLeonidP It's hard to put into words what this album still means to me to this day ... it was my intro to the Stones and I've never turned back! Every song is classic Stones, to me. I always say this is #5, behind the big 4 -- to me all the other albums are well behind the top 5. Punk? Not punk? What's the difference, the songs are still amazing. Bu

QuoteJames Kirk Gimmie Shelter because it may very well be the most menacing song ever written. Not sure if I chimed in on this thread before, but if not, I would also pick Gimmie Shelter as the #1. Sympathy would be a close 2nd.

Quote24FPS Quotejackflash1129 80s was the worst decade in popular music history. I think the stones in hindsight did pretty well. Really? Queen, The Clash, Blondie, Michael Jackson, Springsteen, Prince, the Police, Hall and Oates, Cyndy Lauper, and a whole barrel full of one hit wonders. At least the first half of the 80s was fantastic. wait, were you arguing for or against that post?

Quotepepganzo I love this track, fantastic guitar work here Agreed! And to me, Preston's best contribution on keyboards. It has such an incredible mood and jazzy type of beat ... and although I know Preston's not on Jamming w/ Edward, this reminds me a bit of that.

QuoteTurner68 this is the sound of a band that's completely given up. i have a suspicion that during one of his more sober moments in 1977 keith richards heard this playing and asked 'what is this crap?' when told it was from the stones' latest album he cursed to himself, threw a couple whisky bottles at the wall, and decided then and there to reclaim his honor and make

I love B & B ... It's such a great mix of songs with amazing music. Hot Stuff - Nice & funky! Hand of Fate - What amazing guitars! Up there with my favorite Stones tracks. Cherry Oh Baby - The Jamaican influence takes off! They perfect that beat, fantastic! Thank you Ronnie! Memory Motel - Superb ballad, love the keyboards and especially the singing by both Mick & Keith He

Quotepaulspendel that's true., but Frank and Joan Fitzsimons were in an affair. Frank was drunk as a skunk when he phoned Joan at 6 AM at her home in Donnington. he could not restrain himself and told her. So are you considering Joan may have had a need for attention? She was a driver for the Stones, seems to be sleeping around a bit, including, as you said, having an affair w/ a 19 year o

Quotepaulspendel Basically Terry used all my research. There were some details I did not want to release into the public domain. Basically to do with Brian's family. Here's a clip from my interview with Janet in 2008. the audio quality is horrendous, but she refers to Frank telling Joan he did it. This matches what Joan's family told me indepently. "he did it" .

Quote24FPS Oswald did it. Others possibly in the Mexican and/or Cuban embassies might have known he wanted to do it. But yeah, Oswald did it. The only question remaining is where was he headed when he left the Texas School Book Depository and set out with his jacket and pistol? Was there the slightest possibility he believed if he could get to the Mexican border someone would be there to help him

Quoteterraplane Possibly they were roughing him up in the pool and it brought on an asthma attack? Certainly possible. As much as it's possible he just simply had an asthma attack. BTW, I had a cousin that drowned at age 21, due to swimming in the river when he had a sudden asthma attack. He was swimming across one side to the other, there was no roughhousing.
