without going thru 3 pages worth, I would be amazed if anyone stated that this is not an amazing song. It's gotta rank up there w/ one of the most radio played non-singles ever!

Quoteblivet QuoteGasLightStreet Easily their second worst LP cover ever though... unforgivable. Which one do you think is the worst of all? If it wasn't mentioned specifically, then the answer is obvious.

Love the subtle country guitar licks, great melody, great Mick vocals, fantastic backing vocals by Keith, and great bass lines by Darrel, I guess ... what's not to like?

Great track, I haven't listened to it in a long time. I'll have to correct that.

Quoteflilflam I rarely hear fans discussing the great Steel Wheels album. I really like Terrifying, Hold On To Your Hat, Rock and a Hard Place, and Almost Hear You Sigh. It's a decnet album, imo. I do like Terrifying a lot, Rock & Hard Place is okay at best, but I just never liked Hold On To Your Hat, to me that one should have been on Dirty Work. Quoteflilflam I would rank this

QuoteJames Kirk A lot of McCartney's new material is excellent and he plays it in concert. Possibly, but I would never know. I stopped listening to anything new of his since he did awful tracks like My Brave Face and that one w/ M Jackson. I'll stick to his Wings stuff.

Lies upon lies upon lies upon lies upon lies upon lies! At least I think that's what he's saying. Anyway how could you not like the classic lyrics: Lies, lies you dirty jezebel Why, why, why, why don't you go to hell? And that guitar riff, wow! Love it!!

Not much to add that hasn't been said ... except: QuoteCome On This is a masterpiece in the same class as 'Factory Girl' and 'Dead Flowers'.. Sorry but Sweet Virginia is significantly better than both of those ... and I love both of those.

Quotetreaclefingers Quotestupidguy2 I've always believed this album remains underrated by many older fans... which always struck me as cynical. From the posts here, ER, and SG, were seminal for a whole generation of us coming of age in 1979-80.... It was my punk rock. It was the first Stones album I got into. When I first heard Emotional Rescue, I didn't even like the song. So wh

Quotestupidguy2 QuoteLeonidP Emotional Rescue was the first 'new' Stones album that I ever experienced .... (I bought Some Girls after seeing them on SNL). A local radio station was playing the entire album about a week before being released. I remember sleeping at a friends house just to stay up and listen to the debut. We were sitting there taking in all the songs, and then all of

QuoteRawIguanaCologne ...Okay, there were fillers like "Gun" or so, ... I guess you mean Gunface ... to me that's a fantastic track. And such a fierce guitar solo. Definitely one of my favorites on the album.

I love the album, but Sweet Neo Con, Dangerous Beauty, and Look What the Cat Drag all could have been left off. That would have made it a much better album.

QuoteHound Dog Love superheavy, best solo thing any of the stones have done! It's a fantastic album ... not sure I'd say 'best solo', as there's Wandering Spirit, Keith's first one, some of Ronnies. Tough call.

Definitely up there with as one of the great songs from their vast catalog but on Exile, i think All Down The Line is the superior rocker ... as for the perfect Stones song, I go with Gimme Shelter.

Quotestonehearted It's obvious from this thread that Bill was the bas(s)is of their best work. If the list was worst 5, it would also be obvious that he was the bas(s)is of their worst work as well. Mine: - Rough Justice - Doom & Gloom - Jump On Top Of Me - Saint Of Me - Laugh I Nearly Died It was hard to only include 5.
