Quotealimente If the album actually sounds as generic and unimaginative as the song titles suggest ("A Thing Like That", "Thing About You", "Tell Me Something", "Forever" and so on) we are up for a huge disappointment. Seriously, one must have to be a total douche to make an assumption about how an album will sound based on song titles. Would you have ass

Quoteaprilfool I hope the album will be good but how can you say that before listening it! Some of the songs sound really good! Like Sweetness & I Don't Think So. Ronnie has played them on his radio show. I don't have the link handy, but if you go to the site you can play the old shows. Ronnie's solo albums kick ass!

Eggcellent, from beginning to end. The song: Some Girls has got to be in my top 5 all-time Stones tracks. The guitar licks on the harder/faster songs are, imo, amazing. And Charlie's drumming is superb thru-out.

Quotecharliesgood Just preorder the 2cd for 20 bucks and you get to instantly download it in flac with a video that's a rip off too ... the extra cd is just an exact copy of the 1st Keith/Wingless Angels cd. just get the 9.99 version (999)

QuoteStonesTod it's what the word "unlistenable" was invented to describe.... I concur - it's the lowlight of Steel Wheels

Pussy is a great track, imo. I also like the Monkey Grip track and What A Blow. Each album has a couple good songs (although I really hate the Stuff album) but as I've said in the past, Bill is the most uninspired singer I've ever heard in my life - basically most songs sound like he's just talking, and boorishly at that. So yes, each album as a couple good songs but unfortunate

Personally, I love B & B. It's not near the top of my Stones LP list, but it's got a significantly different vibe than most other albums and when I'm in the mood for it, it's a great listen - yes, I even love Cherry, Oh Baby! I think I'll listen to this album today, now that I'm thinking about it...

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteLeonidP Quotetreaclefingers Ridiculous. This is a lousy album and has nothing to do with a 'shouting Mick' or a "too loud Charlie". The writing is pathetic. Back to Zero, Hold Back, Dirty Work?? Come On! Agreed. It's a very poor effort. It was the first and only Stones album that I have ever disliked. I still listen once in a while but i

After reading Tony Sanchez's book (around '81) I became obsessed w/ @#$%& Blues - and started inquiring from others on where to get bootlegs. A friend of mine told me of a vinyl store in New Hope NJ that sold bootlegs, and also let me know that there was a Brussels '73 live bootleg that I also had to get. I made the trip the following weekend and picked up CS Blues 10" single

QuoteErik_Snow I guess I'm one of the few who thinks "Stone Alone" is worth reading ... I loved it! It's been many years since I read it, but the one main thing I recall from Bill is an overall bitterness over the fact that Mick & Keith got all the glory, songwriting credits etc.... yet many times he references the fact that after shows in the early years, he would go

QuoteRobberBride I´m always surprised Bill has never continued the Stoned Alone story. Don´t have it here, didn´t it end in 69 or so? Has he ever said he´s gonna "finish" it? I like Rolling With a lot. Bill seems like a reliable source out of many flaky ones. Yes, originally there was supposed to be a follow-up for the 70's - and then I imagine another for the 80's, but t

this was at the time i first started finding bootlegs - some of my first live vinyl bootlegs were of the '81 Hampton show and the '78 King Biscuit show ... I thought those bootlegs were far superior than Still Life and I listened to those way more than Still Life.

Quotemckalk Are there any songs that come to mind where they sing dual lead vocals? I think that is what I am hearing on "Connection", but I can't think of any others right now. Connection is still a Mick vocals, Keith backup vocals - just Keith is a little more pronounced than normal. But as there are portions where it is just Mick singing, he is the lead. BTW, I've notice

Quotemtaylor QuoteEdith Grove When was the last time Mick stayed on stage during Keith's solos, and why does he not do that anymore? Began changing 1981? Mick wants a rest. They could keep Happy as a Mick and Keith singing and then Keith could sing one of his own without Mick. Eggzactly, that's when they began increasing the stage time from close to 2 hours to 3+ hours, so Mick needs

I did originally like Out Of Tears ... and never did feel it with Streets Of Love. I think the main reason for me is that they are too similar, and it kind of annoyed me that they re-did almost the exact same song. I guess they're both similar to Almost Hear You Sigh so I'm not sure why I didn't get annoyed with OOT to begin with -- perhaps sub-conscientiously i was annoyed they ac

QuoteEdward Twining I find Hide Your Love quite addictive over repeated listens. In fact it now seems to be one of my favourites off Goats Head Soup... the weird thing is that Hide Your Love and Can You Hear the Music were the 2 songs I tended to skip on Goats Head, but now I love both of them. i think they're both addictive.
