ALL reproduced sound is manipulated and artificial.

To get the full quality of vinyl, you need to have top quality equipment and of course, a record that is mint, to near mint condition. Anyway, all formats are a compromise, the 'true' sound is the original mastertape. Beggars Banquet on the CD/SACD release is the best it's ever been.

Yeah, it's audio outtakes, I got them from the buy/trade forum here. It's not like the version on 25x5. The acoustic is on it's own at the start with Mick singing, then the full band joins in. Brain CAN be heard on the dvd/cd, very quiet for sure, you just have to know what he's playing and listen carefully.

I have two rehearsal/outtakes from the Rock and Roll Circus, one is Parachute Woman the other is You Cant Always Get What You Want... but I'm curious, who plays the acoustic on YCAGWYW? Was Mick this good on guitar by 1968?

Well, I am a big fan of Brian's, but I am also under no illusion like a lot of his fans seem to be, Brian WAS an ill man!

All credit listing have dave mason playing mandolin on factory girl, BUT, it's actually a mellotron and it's more likely to have been Nicky Hopkins... and so on... People tend to just copy other listings without really looking in to it. There are photos of Jack playing piano, harpsichord and organ during this time. There are some of Brian, but no headphones in site, or he's bu

New single my arse! It's a nice thought, but no way. Of course things 'might' have been looking up for him, only because he was at rock bottom.

I;ve haven;t read or heard Mick or Keith talk of any contact after he left, perhaps Brian phoned through first to see if they were away.

Hm, we are supposed to believe this woman? She's made a nice tidy sum from her books about Brian.

Bill writes that Brian came to the studio after he was sacked and they talked about future plans, reckon this is true? Was Mick Taylor there? Hmmm...

The piano is more likely to be Jack, not Brian, as are the harpsichord parts on the BtB's album. There's no logical reason to suppose Brian wrote it, enough people who were there have said it's Keith's, but at the same time, I'm sure everyone helped in ways that dont warrant writing credits. Are the albums from this time all labelled with "arranged by the rol

Are there any band photos from these other sessions in 1970 and at Sunset Sound in 72?

Calling Mick Tayler as virtuoso is a bit over the top. He was good, but not THAT good.

What is supposed to have been recorded on those dates? It is a real recorder though, but I have doubts that he plays the piano on Ruby Tuesday. I think it's more likely to have been Jack Nitzsche, same for the more complicated harpsichord parts etc. What songs from Between the Buttons have marimba, I cant recall any from memory? He plays vibraphone on Yesterday's Papers.

The problem is, people get used to the version they heard first, or have owned the longest, so when a new remaster comes along and it sounds different, they tend to think it's 'wrong' I'm glad that the Beggars Banquet remaster is given a good review in that linked page, it truly sounds amazing and it is the only ABKO CD/SACD remaster I own. What is this though? &qu

Gave Hendrix a career, are you serious? Plus, back then the use of the word negro was common, as was spade. ie "negro blues musician" or "hip spade talk" etc...
