Brian's last month
Posted by: LA FORUM ()
Date: January 21, 2007 20:10

Someone said he may or may not have pooped by the studio after being sacked. What do we know about that last month? I've read about his depression, talking about life on earth being hell and his plans of a supergroup (I dont believe them to be anything else but a last straw for him to cling on to). Did he ever talk to Mick or Keith or Anita again? It feels like he just decided to die after being sacked.

Nothin paints a more pregnant (if the expression
is allowed on this subject) picture of this than Anna Wohlin
and her co-writer Lindsiöö (?) in her book.
Just stay alert and see 'cross her conspiracy theories,
she tells us a little something about his everyday life at that period.

Hm, we are supposed to believe this woman? She's made a nice tidy sum from her books about Brian.

i think you may want to change that to "popped by the studio", LA Forum. :E

in 25 x 5 Bill says that Brian was stopping by the studio after parting ways with the band.

Well, there's often been much controversy surrounding the angry dookie of Brian Jones. He actually cleaned himself up amazingly, and was ready to start work on Let It Bleed, and prepare himself for the upcoming tour. So he made his way down to the studio with a box of Dunkin' Donuts as an apology to everyone. But as he looked in the window, he saw all the other Stones laughing and hugging a wavy-haired brunette. Immediately, Brian was heartbroken - he knew that they truly didn't like him any more. In a fit of rage he threw the donuts (and the coffee he got for everyone) up in the air, and then proceeded to drop trow. What happened in the next 30 seconds is some of the most confusing, rage-filled pooping that has ever taken place in history. Yes, Brian Jones pooped in front o Olympic studios that day, in the hopes that one of the Stones would step in it, and immediately realize the err of their ways. But little did he know, they wouldn't step in it. He went home that day a broken man, and made pancakes for himself and his Daschaund, Constable McGrumpy

Actually this doesnt sound unlikely except for the pooping.

We do know about his last month, and that his outlook was positive, things were looking up for him, he was forming a new band and about to release his own single, and off drugs for the most part, wanting to re-establish a bond with his kids. He did not want to die!

New single my arse! It's a nice thought, but no way. Of course things 'might' have been looking up for him, only because he was at rock bottom.

Sad all Brian-threads falls apart in two camps:
the yes- vs. the no-sayers.
Nuances, anyone... ?

Well, I am a big fan of Brian's, but I am also under no illusion like a lot of his fans seem to be, Brian WAS an ill man!

On this board spittin' on his grave
is nuthin' uncommon.
What do we actually know about his ability to shape things up?

History has proved its pretty tough
stayin' alive & well among our heroes, right?

I'm a Brian-fan but I dont think he was feeling well after being sacked from his own band. I think that really killed him although he didnt want to stay in the band with Mick and Keith and Anita running the show.

brian was a mess I guess when 'trevor' finally discloses his evidence we can put all this to rest. As no doubt trevor knows there is a part of every case known as discovery in which you actually have to provide the evidence that you say you have.

I CANNOT wait for that moment... it will be one for the ages....

Did he really poop in front of the studio? It seems hard to believe, but Brian was strange.

Re: Brian's last month

The pooping was Andrew Loog Oldham's idea. He was sure it would be taken in the spirit of the forecourt and would be Brian and his entrance back into the band. Imagine YCAGWYW with an angelic chorus by Cleo Sylvestre and Lulu with strings by David Whittaker. The Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestra would have been back with a songwriting credit for Andrew to boot. Brian would have stolen the song by playing French horn, organ, marimbas, and glockenspiel.

Some say Brian was pooping by studios as far back as 1963. It may have been this behavior that drove a wedge between him and the other group members, eventually squeezing him out entirely.

I'm thinking that the line in Sweet Virginia, "got to scrape the s**t right of our shoes", is describing the aftermath of one of Brian's "episodes".

I have heard this story so many times that BJ had decided to form a band and get back on track making muisc that he liked. I am a huge Brian fan and feel he is always understimated.

Does anyone know who was going to be in the band? That would be cool to know who he had in mind for the line-up.
