Everyone has his or her own opinion, of course. In my opinion, Houston was the best recording, and also the best show, at least for the first 2/3 of the show.

nick, i'm sure everyone appreciates your generosity, but they are right. I'm not a moderator, but the policy here is that officially released cds and dvds are not shared. I can't speak for bv, but I guess the feeling is the Stones probably don't mind the hard core fans sharing the music that can't be purchased, but once you get into official releases, then the record

I think Lisa's work is always good and often excellent. However, Merry Clayton's track is magical...perfect. Cafaro, I like the '72 versions of "Bitch".

I'm not an expert. There are maybe a few (6-9?) pro-shot songs from Ft. Worth in pretty good quality and sound. Then, I've heard there is a complete New Orleans show, but that sound and video quality are poor. I haven't seen that...

Hey open-g, I went through the same thing...wanted but couldn't afford a Dobro, National or whatever. I finally decided on the Fender. They have an asian made (China?) resonator that really has a pretty good sound with a nice bite to it. Mine's black but I think they have a couple of different finishes. It's no National, but it sounds pretty good for about 350 US. It soun

Austin is a very nice town with a lot to do and a lot of traffic. It will probably be a better destination for a trip than El Paso -- more fun things to do. Now, the Zilker Park venue will be bit of a hassle (no parking, etc) if they really draw the 50,000 they say they'll sell, and you'll have to be up for a general admission show. The El Paso show will be more of a normal stadium s

Hey, Cafaro. I haven't been around IORR much lately, but I still pop in when I can. For some reason, I thought you were coming down for Thanksgiving, and I thought it was Copperas Cove. Anyway, I'd like to try to get together for a drink or something, especially if you're within an hour or so... By the way, my collection is very poor compared to yours (I don't accumula

The Who is not, and never has been, a better band than the Rolling Stones, either live or in the studio. But, it's nice to have them around for people who like them. They're more entertaining and more important than most bands, and much better than any of the "new rock bands."

I think I've seen the rest of this show available, but it's in good audience quality (better than listenable but not excellent), not soundboard.

Hey Cafaro, I don't have a copy, and I wouldn't say it's soundboard quality, but I remember thinking the LA Forum version of Rough Justice was good. What did you decide to use for "Oh No Not You Again?" I think Houston was a good version (and I think I have that somewhere) but, again, I'm not sure if the sound quality is good enough for what you're puttin

Born, I don't know how how I chose the ones I chose except to say that it has to do, not only with cool licks, but also originality and influence, as well as how these guys as guitarists make the song better. Obviously, my opinion is just that --- As for Stevie and Johnny -- I wouldn't have listed them if I didn't think they were awesome. After all, I'm from Austin. I

The current version of "Hot Stuff" works well for those who get free versions of these unauthorized recordings. I understand that this is not good for the serious traders and sellers, but I don't know how to balance these interests.
