I have aquired a cd entitled Welcome to New York.

The first 4 tracks are Brown Sugar,Bye Bye Johhny,Rip this Joint & Love in Vain through to track 15 which is Midnight Rambler.

Does anyone know which show & year this is from?

It's 1972 MSG. I don't have right now the exact date. Love it due it's sharp
recording.

I have the vinyl LP from "Swingin Pig 1989".

Concert is from "July 1972 Madison Square Garden, NY"
Vinyl = 9 songs !

Great LP !!

yes it is a great recording, although its just a teaser with only about half the show, cant imagine the rest turning up anytime soon, surely would have happened by now

I think I've seen the rest of this show available, but it's in good audience quality (better than listenable but not excellent), not soundboard.

the swinging pig label always offered good quality.
i owe a lot of their stones-discs, like "handsome girls",
"out on bail", the philadelphia specials 1 and 2 and and and...
therer was a time in the late 80s - early90s, when you still
could buy those records and discs in the shop round the corner,
because it was not illegal then.
fantastic times for collectors!
