Shine A Light and A Bigger Bang take the positions of Boardwalk and Park Place, respectively? These are supposed to be the most values properties on the board.

The "secret" show @ The Phoenix in Toronto - opener for the Bigger Bang tour. I got a tip from a radio friend for the date of the show. Turns out it was not a well kept secret as there was a good line already formed by the time me and my gal friend arrived. We did a headcount and figured we still had a shot at getting in so we set up camp on Church St. with a bunch of other Stoners

I have a giant floodlight which projects a silhouette of a Stones' tongue into the sky. Whenever there's some sort of crime against rock'n'roll I fire it up and a Stone usually shows up within half an hour.

Quotejamesfdouglas Quotejosepi today's music has few, if any. and it shows in their music. Not true. Those beliefs are what holds the general populace from appreciating music out of the bland commercial mainstream. Good music is there, it just requires digging, and effort, to find. Not unlike the old days in a way. I couldn't agree with this more. If your source for current

I'll preface this by saying I've done absolutely no research into Heart's tour schedule but I would point out that the Stones tours last a couple of years and then they take the long break. If Heart is only touring in the summer the two bands may end up playing the same number of shows in a given 5 year period.

Wouldn't it be nice if the Stones could get together and write an album with everyone allowed to contribute? Spend a while doing it...arrive with bits and pieces but not completely written songs...spend some time with the songwriting process and let the songs evolve... I don't think it will happen and it could suck even if it does...but I'd love to hear it...

Quoteskipstone QuoteStonesTod Quoteskipstone If one is to bitch about this new material on the second Exile disc then they should bitch about Tattoo You as well, yet alone a number of songs on other albums yet alone Exile On Main Street not all being from the same sessions. . very poor analogy, skippy. do the math, ok? you know better than that....tsk, tsk, tsk... That ain't an analogy.

Quoteredsock I like this too. It's hard, though. I want to hear this stuff, but a true Exile document would have been way better. (How many repeated listenings your average rock fan would give something like that it is another matter.) How many repeat listens is the average rock fan going to give these new tracks? People are going to continue to discover Exile for the masterpiece

It's no secret that Jagger doesn't have a huge interest on looking to the past. He want to continue to prove that he is vital, etc. Given that, I was kinda surprised when I heard they were going to go into the vaults to dust off some unreleased tracks from the Exile era. Now, seeing how these old tracks have been treated, it all make a lot more sense to me. To me it appears Mick has

Overdubbing guitar 40 years after the fact is rediculous. Exile is about a time, a place and all of the lore attached. It's about that muddy sound and a ton of wicked tunes. The last thing I want is new overdubs. Do your best to clean up the recordings and release what you've got.

QuoteThe Sicilian IMO Conan is a terrible host with no instincts for interviews and bottom line just not at all funny and never was. Very glad to see him go. The only people who find him amusing are those under 30. I started watching him when I was 19. I'm now 35 (though immature) and I still love him. Generally you're right though. Conan attracts a younger audience than Leno

The TV medium creates stars? Is this really news? Every time I go to England or Belgium to visit relatives I'm confronted with a host of celebrities of whom I've never heard. Conan't been on the air for nearly 20 years so it's not like he's an overnight sensation. He's just getting a ton of press right now because of this whole debacle with NBC. Back on topic.

I don't see how it was inappropriate. It wasn't his money. I'm sure if he could have forced NBC to donate 1.5 million dollars to Hatians he would have in a heartbeat. As it is, all he can do is waste their cash on rediculous sketches.

Great bit from Conan! In a nutshell he says they're going to spend the week doing sketches that cost a boatload of money as NBC has to pay for it. So, they bring out a Bugatti dressed like a mouse and the theme for this rediculous character is...SATISFACTION. Conan goes on to say how it costs a fortune to broadcast the song on the air and then again on the internet. THE BIT COST 1.5 MILL

Jack White and Keith Richards Working Together on New Songs Jack White has been making all kinds of old-school rock star connects lately. Earlier this year, he appeared with Jimmy Page and the Edge in the guitar hero documentary It Might Get Loud. And now he's recording with legen
