Well, we all knew it would only be a matter of time before they released the DVD of the new album. And here it is folks - coming out at the end of November. With the album being a masterpiece, the Mott The Hoople shows and now this - it's been some great autumn so far.

not complaining but..isn't the new album LIVE? Isn't it a performance for
a small group of people in a recording studio? Is the dvd the same performance?

let me know if I'm wrong about it being live. obvious that there's people clapping etc after
the songs but...don't know if there were overdubs etc...

I saw them in July and I might see them again in November (Milw 11/7).

I guess the band would have had the cameras rolling while recording the album in the studio so this is Black Crowes - Before The Frost...Until The Freeze the DVD. Next it'll be the book. And then probably the blockbuster movie.

They really have fallen into the Stones formula! LOL

Once you see Levon's place you're going to want to visit. If you have a chance go see his Midnight Ramble.

Look forward to seeing this dvd, the atmosphere in Levon's barn looks amazing. And the Crowes are hardly following the Stones footsteps, they are touring in all small venues, playing different songs every night and the ticket prices are very affordable. Not to mention, the way they recorded their new music and basically gave fans two cds for the price of one.

I was referring to the studio album-live album-studio album-live album formula. Not the ticket prices or venues or setlists. I must say I feel kinda bad that a band as big as The Black Crowes are playing such small venues already, but that being said, I'm eagerly awaiting the official boot of the Utica, NY show I caught of theirs!!
