Quotepanthercougar Quotedownagain Anyone have the presale code for Detroit. I logged on just for fun and went from 2000 in front of me to being able to get presale tickets in about 5 minutes. Rainbow, same as everywhere else. Thanks...I had no intention of looking so I didn't ever see the Rainbow thing.

My personal favourite rarity (though not especially valuable) would be the wristband I received when attending the “Light the Fuse” show in Toronto, 2005. Otherwise, I enjoy my early vinyl boots like “Live’r Than You’ll Ever Be.” The rarest piece of rock memorabilia I have is Stones-related but not Stones exactly. I have all the material used to create Nicky Hopkins’ “Tin Man Was a Dream

I'm in the same boat. I was at that show. What a great souvenir! Quotemikehat Does anybody know if the Stones Archive is no more? I purchased the FLAC files of "Light The Fuse" back when it was first released but due to a dead hard drive, I no longer have it. I was hoping to log back in an re-download it but sadly, when I click on the link, the sight can't be reached

As soon as you contact Amazon about an issue with records they will start throwing discounts at you and I was going to be content with a sizeable discount and slightly warped records until I got to IORR and it had a really big one. My table still played it but I just couldn't handle receiving something so poorly made. For me, I bought the set largely because I wanted the post-Steel Wheels

I ordered this set a bit ago and the first records I put on the table were Exile. Both were slightly warped. I played a couple others that were almost flat then got to IORR and it was seriously warped. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement box. Last night I went through every record in both sets and almost every single one has warping. The worst offenders in both boxes are IORR a

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteKingmanBarstow Quotetreaclefingers For anyone in the market for this...pretty amazing price here: 299 CAD, about 225 USD. Thanks for the head’s up Treaclefingers. Today back up to $647.00 CAD. Moving target it seems. Keep an eye on it if you're in the market. Next opportunity maybe after Christmas...Canada has Boxing Day sales so the amazon.ca site may be

Just another FYI about the Original Gangsters podcast...earlier they did a couple podcasts on the Hoffa disappearance and they also shed a lot of light on things with theories from those who were actually investigating the crime at the time. As well, the podcast is based out of Detroit where so much of the story (despite what The Irishman indicates) happened.

Earlier I read a comment from someone who was wondering how historically accurate this film is. For anyone who is interested in this I would recommend checking out the latest episode of the podcast Original Gangsters. I'm midway through it and it provides some great insight into the actual people portrayed in the film.

Saw them open for The Dead, Buckeye Lake, Ohio. Was a wet one. The Dead opened with a cover of The Beatles "Rain".

To add to this... I think Terry Reid would be right up Marc Maron's alley in terms of someone he'd like to interview. Exposure on WTF as the album is coming out would boost sales dramatically I bet as he has a ton of listeners. I'm sure there are other podcasts which would help as well but Maron loves rock'n'roll, vinyl and his interviews are in-depth enough to bri

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 This would be great I am in. I have some bootlegs that have no label just a white sticker. Maybe someone can help me identify some of them. Thanks. If there's a matrix number or anything written on the ring of "empty" wax closest to the middle you can punch that into discogs.com and likely identify some of them. I just did this recently.

I feel like this is something Light in the Attic might be interested in and they have released one of Mr. Reid's records previously. Personally, I would love this due to the care LITA takes with their releases. The quality is always top notch and they have a loyal following of fans and record stores.

I went over to the Philly Museum of Art to get my obligatory photo of myself with the Rocky statue. I got a bit lost walking back toward Market St. and came across a few dudes holding Stones records and markers outside a hotel. Now I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box but something told me I should hang out for a while. 10 minutes later I got to see Ronnie and fam enter there vehicles. Pr

Hey kiddos, Living in Halifax now I had told myself I was done seeing the Stones but, as good luck has just stung me, I am going to be able to see them in Philly, one last time. This is all thanks to a very generous cousin-in-law who knows how much I love the band. Given that the show is on a Tuesday and he has to work the next day I'm guessing it'll be show and then home for h

Thanks for all of the great feedback and apologies for the delay responding. All of this stuff has been sitting in a box in my closet so I'm thinking of selling it now. What's the best bet? Ebay? Something else? I've not any real experience selling online but I know this isn't something I'll be able to find a buyer for locally. At least that's a lot less li

Maybe a decade or more ago I won an Ebay auction for what you see pictured, all the layout work and colour negative for an album I'm sure you all know well, The Tin Man Was a Dreamer. At this point I can no longer see who the seller was and I'm looking for info on what you see here I put an LP under some of the items to give you an idea of the size. Does anyone have any idea how I

QuoteStoneage I wouldn't know. I haven't listened to the song in ages (at least not live). The same goes for JJFlash, Brown Sugar and HTW I'm afraid. But maybe there are others here who will agree with you? That's helpful.

I'm basically a hack but I'm lucky to have talented friends and the Stones always get played whenever we mess around with instruments. One track that will always be special to me we actually managed to record. It was special because it was during a trip to Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble at Levon's place in Woodstock. A once in a lifetime trip with two of my closest friends,
