I just spoke with someone at one of my local record shops here in Nova Scotia. His quote, "Universal has been having a lot of issues as of late with product." So I'm not entirely hopeful that I'll be picking up a physical release on Friday but I'm also not super interested in my first listen being on Spotify. He's going to update me when they get stock.

If I could choose a cover for my vinyl, I'd go with that Paul Smith one BUT I'm not ordering another copy and I'm buying for the music anyway.

I just spoke with Amazon and they say I will receive it by the 20th, at the latest. Not receiving it by that date is a valid reason for return. Between Amazon and my local store I am hopeful that my turntable will be spinning some Diamonds, next Friday.

I have pre-ordered the LP from both Amazon (Canada) and my local, indie record shop. As far as Amazon goes, do they typically have a record actually arrive on your doorstep on the release date or is that they day they will ship it?

So, generally speaking, this track has been very well received by the Stones faithful. Is anyone here in tune with the Gaga fanbase enough to know what her hardcore fans think of the track?

I am a huge Rolling Stones fan, a huge baseball fan (Detroit Tigers, specifically) and a devoted vinyl collector. With all of that said, I could not be less interested in a Stones/MLB crossover and the whole thing strikes me as somewhat odd but I guess the old, white guy baseball fan demographic must crossover with the Stones demographic a fair bit. If only they could have involved craft beer s

I enjoyed the interview with Mick on Q (which is a generally solid program, btw). Tom Power is a good interviewer and I feel like with some of his poorer phrasing of questions we were seeing a guy who was both nervous and who was maybe trying to present things in a way that Mick hadn't heard 10,000 times. It may not have always worked perfectly but I commend him for trying. As far as

QuoteKurt Anyone else ANGRY that there is just an etching on the B-sides of both the Angry 10" vinyl and the 7" vinyl offerings? Neither are scheduled to ship until October 20th so they certainly could have given us a proper B-side, huh?! I shall express my anger by not purchasing this product.

QuoteRocky Dijon Quoteslewan to me the song snippet sounds like they're stuck in the 80s They can't win with their legacy. If it's too modern, they're chasing trends. If it's anti-formula, they're posing as avant-garde. If it sounds familiar, they're recycling the past with diminished returns. I'm just happy to have more songs. It's true. For me,

QuoteJuniorjackflash Hackney diamonds is an old and rarely used cockney slang for ‘broken glass’ - rough area (previously) and not affluent - hence smash glass. So let me throw that pebble into the thought puddle! That's really cool information and not something this Canadian would ever know! Given that, and Jagger's propensity for "double B" titles, we can all count o

Diamonds for a 60th anniversary. Diamonds are gemstones. I'm confident it didn't go down this way but this sounds like a title where Keith and Mick each got to pick one word. I quite like it. I hope it's great.

AC/DC were just better, regardless of any waiting before the Stones took the stage or fan fatique after a long day. I'm not a big AC/DC fan so no bias that way, on my part.

I can echo the other sentiments about it being a hot, long, day. Tons of great performances and definitely not the best I'd seen the Stones perform. One side note which was bad at the time but kind of funny in retrospect...around the time of SARS there was also a mad cow issue within the Canadian beef industry. As such there were promoting the hell out of beef and you could buy a big ste

Interesting question. I'd throw Johnny Carson into the conversation. 30+ years of being in everyone in North America's living room, in the days of 3 networks, is a lot of laughs.

Just saw today that they are trying to crowdsource funding to get this thing released. You will be listed in the credits, with different titles, depending on how much you donate. I don't know what they need, and I know I'm being an idealist, but it would be cool if one or some of the big artists who benefitted from Nicky's fine playing, would pony up some dough to get this finish
