I don´t think he was so nervous. Why would he be? Just because of the president? His little speech also seemed calm and relaxed. Out of breath, yes, but to me he doesn´t seem to be nervous, at least not so much that it causes breathlessnes.

Quotestupidguy2 QuoteBliss I prefer calling him a Casanova or Don Juan or even a womaniser. If Bianca hadn't been pregnant, I suppose they wouldn't have got married. So she really couldn't expect the same level of commitment as if he had made an unencumbered choice. Bianca said the pregnancy 'had nothing to do with their decision' I actually think Mick is oldfashion

QuoteGravityBoy Quotejpasc95 maybe Keith Richards was not invited or refused or could not come and play. The same for the others. American (unofficial) Royalty, British Royalty.. it's all the same. Not to be trusted with a sharp stick. If that's the case then good for Keith. Sir Mick is quite the conservative isn't he. To think The Stones (Mick) were deemed anti-establis

Quoteemotionalbarbecue Any stone member can do anything he wants outside the band. I do not mind wether it consists of Disco, Reaggae, Polka, Jazz, Writting, Painting, setting up restaurants, boogie boogie or blues bands. They may also quarrel as cats and dogs and then make up on and on. But ...if in the year of the 50 aniversary Mick plays BLUES in front of the president but he does not count

That poor man can´t do it right. When he does something "old", then is too conservative, and when he does something new, then he gets critizised because he only "wants to stay current"

The problem with Mick is, if we don´t SEE him speaking, we often don´t know if he is joking or not, if he is blinking (don´t know if this is the right word) with his eyes. Half of his speaking is body language. I think very often a joke gets lost in an interview. Maybe he means what he says, maybe it is a joke.

QuoteBliss QuoteClaire_M They don't seem to push education for their girl-children, do they? Sorry to be harsh, but only Marsha Hunt's child - a Yale graduate - seems to be smart and ambitious (for things other than modeling and shagging men). Amba's in school, not even in her last year. From what I have read, Mick had and has non-modeling and showbiz aspirations for his chil

Hm, I don´t know if Georgia wanted to quit school because she never wanted to be a full time model, she always says that modelling will remain a small part of her live. I still believe that the stories about Mick being upset are exaggerated because that is not what his daughters say. All the kids say that Mick wants them to find something what they really love to do and so far all of them did, t

I still wonder when Mick heard about Keith sleeping with Marianne (I am talking about Marianne´s version of the story) although he knew that Mick was in love with her. Maybe that started the bad blood.

QuoteBliss Mick was not happy about any of his daughters being models, and apparently this was the final nail in the coffin of his r'ship with Jerry, regarding Lizzie's modeling. That was only made up by the press. Georgia has said that he was fine with everything, even these nearly topless photos for Hudson. But I think he is more happy about her studying photography.

QuoteTrulyMicks [I find the mystery of it all interesting too. Mick implied that Miss You was about Keith recently, I always thought that one was about a woman. Who knows maybe it was at one point or was about both? Miss You and Sweethearts Together about Keith? I really don´t think that they love each other that much! They haven´t been close friends for 4 decades now, so I am sure Mick does

QuoteDoxa No, (it's not about Keith's heroin situation). I think that's just made up (laughs). I think that's rubbish. But you know, it's so long ago. People, they like to make up stories and whatever, what you believe happened at the time. I could tell you, I could make up all sorts of stuff about how Far Away Eyes was written - it wouldn't be correct, I'm sure

QuoteGazza Mick very rarely writes openly about his domestic life. It's usually hidden in opaque references. Mick and Keith writing songs about their relationship and dressing up as a song about a woman isnt that uncommon (All About You, Worried about You, Sweethearts Together etc) I remember an interview where Mick was asked if Sweethearts Together was about Keith and him, Mick laugh

Quotelem motlow it comes from him singing" anita,i needya" in the studio he also wrote the acoustic guitar parts obviously.its a masterpiece,i'll put it up against anything lennon and mccartney ever did. I think that is Happy, not Angie, no? Keith has said, that he does not know why Mick chose that name.

QuoteDandelionPowderman [I'm not suggesting that the book was PR for the tour. However, I'm certain of the books impact on Mick and Keith's relationship means ZERO for the Stones' future. Why should it mean anything? Both Mick and Keith are masters when it comes to handling the press - don't forget that. I don´t think the book has an influence on the plans for next

But: in recent interviews he still calls Mick a diva like Maria Callas, says that he only wrote the truth in his book, and that it was necessary in that form to balance things out. It is also interesting that journalists always only ask Keith about their relationship and never Mick. But they have to promote something so suddenly Mick is a "best friend", when a year ago he said they

mick wrote at least the lyrics for Angie, wich makes Mick and Keith co-writers for that song. And the Brown Sugar riff is Mick´s, that´s what he says.

It is usually Mick who writes the tunes as he is the singer, he writes nearly all the lyrics and why would he need Keith to write music, as he plays the guitar, the piano, bass, drums, harp... And he did that not only for the last 10 years, but for the last 40 years. Don´t misunderstand me, Keith is a very important songwriter for the band, but not their main-songwriter. Mick gets the most cr

Quotenick You would think that the fan bases of these 5 artists collectively would had produced larger sales even if the album did suck. I couldn't really give a crap about the sales but they do effect as to whether there will be another CD. Mick´s fan base bashes the album without even listening to it. They WANT it to have poor sales. Strange. How is it doing in India?

I just searched for that part, too. I am not sure if I understand it right, when he says: " ..another balance that needed to be sorted out". Does that mean that he needed one more final bashing to get the right balance between him and Mick? However, I don´t think that it is Keith who is thinking about an end of the band. Last year he said something like looking forward to June (this ye

QuoteBliss Two facts about Mick I have read recently: 1. He mostly lives quietly with his girlfriend in France 2. He is addicted to the internet and Facebook So he has plenty of time on his hands and enjoys the internet. I would say there s a good chance he at least checks this forum every day. I admit that I follow L´Wren´s twitter a little bit, they seem to be around the world all the

QuoteDoxa An excellent article - thank you very much for sharing it! Never seen it before. This part is extremely interesting one: Jagger is reluctant to go into the Stones affair, perhaps afraid to trigger a new round of squabbling. When pressed about the Stones during an interview for Q magazine here, Jagger said, "I can't be specific. I can't . I don't think I have to

I think the "todger" comment is the least what Mick thinks about. But for an artist it is probably the worst if your partner claims to have written 95% of all songs and gives you only credit for a 5%.

Quotestonesrule My point is that as much as I'd personally enjoy seeing Keith on stage again and giving a solid performance (as opposed to relying on back up musicians) I really have had enough of "PR bullshit," endless posing for photos, arms around Jagger etc., the usual "Aren't I cool! and "Oh yes, we're going on tour..." (Get those tickets NOW."
