Marlon looks like he has a lot more hair than formerly.

Nah, just an optical illusion - and the work of a good photographer and stylist. He's as bald as is father.

Which Stones offspring have managed any career other than modeling?

Jade. She is a successful interior designer, she works for big hotels. She has her own shop somewhere in London, where she sells her jewellery.

Would you if you didn't have to? I know I wouldn't.

Marlon really hasn't aged much in the last few years.

I was semi-joking, but I am kind of surprised no Julian Lennons or Zak Starkeys have surfaced from all the Stones offspring.

Karis is a Yale grad, right? Surely she does something substantial career-wise.

I'm not so sure he would have made it as a model without his surname. Am I being cynical now?

Karis very quietly helps to run a non-profit organization that collects clothing for needy families and their children. Its a very cool thing. Its interesting because she seems to have a normal life, quite comfortable with a husband and two children, in a very conventional sense and she's also close to her father and particularly Jade. Someone also mentioned Angela running a horse stable or something like that. But these two were also raised far from the chaos of their father's lives, so I wonder if that makes a difference. The younger kids - Lizzie, James, Georgia, Theo, Alexandria etc - grew up in a different, more casual and relatively stable time and seem to have been influenced by their mothers alot, models both.
With Marlon and Jade, they probably grew up in a more unstable environment - it can't be an accident that they both had children and developed family units very young. I wonder if things might have been more difficult for them in terms of finding an identity and wanting something else.
Marlon rebelled against his parents craziness by conforming somewhat, Jade rebelled against her more strict upbringing by being more free-spirited.
They all seem fairly well-adjusted regardless of what they do and that is saying something.

Marlon rebelled against his parents craziness by conforming somewhat,

In LIFE Marlon says, "There was even a move to convince Keith to send me off to West Point. I wouldn't have minded, actually."

Which reminds me of Martin Scorsese's recent George Harrison film, in which George's son Dhani says, (paraphrase from memory): "Dad told me that if I wanted, I could cruise the world in a yacht for the rest of my life. Some might think I'm crazy not to have taken up his offer. But in my family rebelling meant joining military school. It drove Dad crazy when I marched around the house in a military uniform."

My favorite anecdote about Marlon rebelling against Keith was that at one point as a kid, he chose the Beatles over the Stones.
