Not sure why people here are getting really angry over a post. I remember reading a Church billboard while traveling and the quote has always stuck in my head

"Those who anger you - control you"

the stones can not tour this way

they need side musicians
you need a lot of sound to play stadiums

you can play with 4 musicians in a stadium too
like u2
but then 70 % of the music is playback or played by a second band behind the stage
like u2 does it

Yeah, the extra bass player is Colonel Custard in the Conservatory (with the lead piping), on additional drums we've got Lee Harvey Oswald on the grassy knoll and last but not least on rhythm guitar there's Blondie Chaplin skulking about behind the curtains............

sorryforgot to mention Lord Lucan and Shergar on backing vocals............

not forgetting Maddie McCann on maracas..........

Rock supergroup Led Zeppelin are to play four shows in Toronto, Canada this summer, according to new Internet reports.

A news blog on Canadian music TV channel's Much Music website reports the August dates at the Skydome/Rogers Center stadium will officially be announced shortly.

No other shows will be announced, according to the report, and the band will not tour the U.S.

Led Zeppelin founders Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones reunited last year for a one-off tribute show to late music mogul Ahmet Ertegun in December.

The trio has fueled speculation of more dates with remarks made in a series of interviews since the December concert in London.

Reports suggest the threesome has been offered upwards of $200 million for a full-scale tour.

RE: U2 - 2nd Band under the stage.

The Edge's guitar tech under the stage has the ability to trigger effects and play along during the show.

I came across some Youtube clips of The Edge's guitar tech named Dallas. He gives a tour of the understage and what his role is during a show. He does not hide the fact that is the "unofficial" 2nd guitarist.

I have a boot DVD from 2001 Miami and the sound was taken from one of the mixes and you can hear a voice counting down before each song.

I recently given a computer program called Guitar Pro 2 (NOT GUITAR HERO VIDEO GAME). It came loaded with THOUSANDS of songs. What is really cool is that you hear the song being played, you see the sheet music in front of you and you can fade out the other instruments so you can just hear the lead guitar, bass, etc.

It's a strange experience listening to The Edge's work after you take out the bass and drums. Mostly 3 notes over and over.

The DJ at a local radio station in Buffalo talked about it today and said that it came from a very reliable source in the music world.

He then proceeded to spin "Tangerine"

About a year ago our "most credible" DJ here in L.A. said "you can bet the farm" that Zeppelin will tour in the summer of '08.

Led Zeppelin Help Chelsea Flower Show Plants To Blossom

A gardener at this years Chelsea Flower Show has pinned his hopes of winning a prestigious gold medal on Led Zeppelin.

Mark Gregory has been playing riffs from the band’s classic hits in the build up to the festival – which opens in London tomorrow (May 20th).

Gregory said that ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and ‘Stairway To Heaven’ were “definitely helping" his plants.

“It is possible the vibrations make them feel better. They turned out fantastic,” the gardener told the Metro.

“It was like having my own little rock concert – the acoustics in the greenhouse were quite good.”

Since their reunion show in London last December, Led Zeppelin have found themselves capturing the hearts of new audiences – even ones with green fingers.

Check out some classic - non-horticultural - shots of the band below...

That's very cool. I always liked the Foos. Good for Jimmy and Jonesy to get up there and jam with them.

If the Foo Fighters gig is any indication, there's a WHOLE LOTTA LOVE for Zeppelin, even in 2008. Any gigs anywhere will sell out in a heartbeat. The only stumbling block is Robert Planet.
