Unfortunately RipThisBone was right - Ronnie was inviting Keith to come along to the snooker tournament next day. Though that does probably mean that Keith is around in the UK at the moment.

Do they still have a snooker table backstage ? Ronnie's comments suggest they don't anymore

But you're turning it upside down a bit - I wasn't commenting on the semantics of 'soccer'; I was ventilating thoughts about who can/ could/ should rightfully claim the term 'football'.

It just depends on how you say it. In the US they say "December 12th 2015", so they write "12/5/2015". Wherever they say "5th of December 2015", they write "5/12/2015".
