Nooo, noooo, noo, nooo...............logically, if we are agreed that 15 is the year, the largest element - and is last, then logically the smallest element - the day - should be first and the medium element the month - should be in the middle.........
the 5th day of the twelth month of 2015 - hence 5.12.2015
On top of that......it's our language but having said that we do remember Yorktown so if y'all want to carry on ruining it we won't try and stop you................

...And almost everybody in any language worldwide...
Logical order is big > small or small > big;
so (yy)yy/MM/DD ór DD/MM/(YY)YY...
But oh well. You carry a rubber egg around in your àrms across a field, and call it "Football" ... 'nuff said.

Rough Justice for ya, RoughJusticeOnYa ... sportingintelligence published this (edit) yesterday ...
[www.sportingintelligence.com]
"One thing that is not in dispute, no matter how deeply it wounds those who think soccer a cheap American neologism (as I myself did for quite some time), is that the word originated in Victorian England."
There's even an unintentional Rolling Stones mention.
"In similar happy-go-lucky fashion, Jesus College became Jaggers"

Don't confuse the issue with facts. It's December 5, 2015. Because I say so.

I'm going to let President Roosevelt have the final word here, especially since it happens to be the anniversary of one of the most significant events in 20th century history:
Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
I think you Europeans need to give it up on the date debate, for at least today....
Okay, I think we need to get back to the studio talk now.
