I've just done a search on ebay UK, the search criteria I used was simply "Rolling Stones tickets" - and it brought up a list of 345 items for sale. I couldn't help but notice that by far the greater proportion of the listing for UK tickets exhibited "0 bids". About the only tickets that were getting bids were the cheapest ones up in the 400 blocks, but anything priced in the high hundreds upwards seems to be attracting not the slightest interest. Encouraging ... I would say

It's quite beautiful on eBay at the moment! It'll get better too.

The thing to remember is - DO NOT PANIC. Anyone who wants tickets will be able to get them. This whole early tickets thing is a charade. These venues sell the worst tickets first and hold back the good ones until the last minute when they can say - we've got tickets near the front left. This will happen again. Fact.

Abosolutely correct about CHARADE.

TM also gives tickets to secondary outlets on consignment. This way they can claim its sold out and get kickbacks, they split the profit above face value.

I have seen on Multiple Occasions, tickets on stub hub or Ace for weeks. Then the night before the game/Event the exact same tickets pop up on a late Ticketmaster drop.

absolutely desperate for standing within the tongue, I hope they do hold crap tickets back and release better ones soon. I have £850 set aside from the savings I was building for a house.

Er Woody, I'm not being funny - but I think you're about to get ripped off. These pit tickets cost £406 at face value, and all you need to do is look on EBAY, SEATWAVE, GETMEIN, VIAGOGO, and MARK BUTLER ASSOCIATES (the VIP package people) to see what people are asking for them on the secondary ticketing market. There's barely one to be found at the moment for less than £1000 - yes that's ONE THOUSAND POUNDS !!

So if you're being offered two at £100 each, either someone is being unbelievably charitable, or you're about to be ripped off. My honest advice ... BEWARE !!

Hi
I know i am suspicious
they guy says he won them at work, they are being dispatched today, he thinks the face value is £50 and he does not like the stones.
the saving grace is that he has asked for £100 deposit with the rest being paid when i meet him for the tickets.
Surely if it was a rip off he would want it all.
He wants a bank transfer into his account.
Have I any come back with the bank ?

Look, if you're prepared to lose £200 (which you could do if the guy is full of shit and the tickets are fakes or whatever and will get rejected at the venue when they get scanned) - then take the risk and buy them. The point I'm making is that the price is too good to believe, and like anything that's too good to believe .... it raises suspicions.

What else can I tell you ?

One more thing Woody, check with your bank what the story is about getting your money back if the transaction turns out bad; that is to say you did not receive what you were supposed to. The other thing is this, if you were to pay through PAYPAL, be aware that if the transaction is bad and you wish to file a claim for a refund of what you paid, there is a time limit for filing such a claim. I cannot recall exactly what it is, so CHECK WITH PAYPAL if necessary.

Hi Mate
thanks for the information.
I think I will risk the £100 then meet him for the tickets.

Pleasure, and one more thing. I'm looking for a pit ticket myself, for the 25th. So IF you decide to go for it and you can actually succeed in meeting him and get the tickets sooner rather than later and get them checked out for 100 percent authenticity, I would be happy to buy one off you for face value - which I understand to be £406 as I said earlier. That is of course if you have one spare .... ?

Just please bear it in mind, thanks.

Hi Woody,

I've just read this and I hope that I'm not too late to save you losing £200.

As P.W. says, this is too good to be true: I think your will to see your band is clouding your judgement. Sorry to rain on your parade.

Cheers,

Simon.

Hi Guys
I have transfered half with the rest to be paid upon our meeting and me having tickets in hand, I'm going to loose £100 or get a bargin.
I am hoping to take my daughter, I will keep you updated.
Thanks to you all.

If you're meeting him on the night of the show at the venue, make sure the tickets are legitimate by getting them scanned at the entrance to the arena; preferably before handing over the remaining 50 percent of the cash. However, you said the guy doesn't like the Stones, so possibly you're arranging to meet up somewhere else beforehand. Either way, get those tickets checked out, because if you're really getting them for £100 each, that is so ridiculously cheap ... you simply have to be a little suspicious !!

Hope it works out for you though, and you enjoy the gig. Keep us posted on progress why dont you ?

I really hope I am wrong but I think the only question is if you will lose 100 (he takes the first payment and disappear) or 200 (he gets the second payment for fake tickets).

I will be really happy if I am wrong...

Why don't we go on with that discussion in the thread you started : General addmision at 02 ?

Nice tix being released, too bad they're only the £406 ones...
