Useful info and good work, Paul - this thread could also be called 'The Official TICKET PRICE DROP thread'!

Don't forget to check the box office on the day of the show for face value "productuion" seats, often up close and set aside until production problems are resolved. peace

I agree. Do not panic. There are nearly 3000 tickets available on stubhub for each of the Prudential shows. That is an astonishing number of seats. Patience will be a virtue, but you need to wait until about a week before the show.

Yep, if you add up the availability counts from all the usual secondary sites and then throw in Ebay as well, you're looking at a huge number of tickets. And yet parallel with that, you're nevertheless still seeing the primary agencies having these drops periodically .......... ?

eBay is drying up. No bids on most tickets and most not even face value. Take your eBay/Paypal fees off too and they're onto a significant loss.

There you go then, that's good news for those of us still in search of a decent seat at a decent price .....

Keep the faith.

Yes Mike, I'm also keeping my eye on these unreserved standing seats on all the secondary sites. At the moment you're still looking at £1K if you include their stupid fees and all that nonsense, but you know and I know that they're simply not going to go at that price - so it's a matter of holding fast and pouncing when the prices drop enough for you tolerate. My own threshold for tolerance is probably no more than 5-10 percent above face value, that's it. If I cannot get one for that, I'll stick with the pair in block 113 I have. I'm just not coughing up over £500 for what is essentially a GA ticket, and it's not even as if we know for sure that the view we get from that location is any great shakes - is it ? If the Superbowl arrangement is anything to go by, the Stones will be way above you, and also what kind of a view you'll end up having of dear Charlie ... heaven knows ? Quite possibly none !!

Just checked and this is not correct. It dropped for Thursday night to that price, but not Sunday Night. That's still 1099 £. Seatwave asks less then 1000 £
For me all these ticket agencies will swop tickets under händ except those which are sold by private persons via such agencies.

Yep, and I suspect the greater majority of those that they are selling are not being sold by private persons, they're either those that we allocated to these secondary sites, or else bought for them by their own employees - a situation we know to exist, courtesy of that DISPATCHES TV documentary.

on seatwave and I think also on other sites you see it if they have a confirmation to hand out or if you just order blank. Those with a confirmed ticket are mostly the ones preowned by private persons.

Yes agreed, and of course those tickets they list where you see that notice with the tick and that note saying they're received confirmation of the original proof of purchase - they become increasingly scarce once you get up above £600-700 in price. That means that the majority of tickets at the expensive end of the spectrum are in all probability not pre-owned by private people, but either part of the agency allocation, or else bought for them by their army of employees.

It really is shameful, I just hope I live long enough to see the secondary site phenomenon die a death at the hands of legislation; legislation designed either to limit its excesses or to outlaw it altogether.

Whether you're a rock n' roll fan in your 50s or 60s, a footie or rugby fan, a teenager who wants to see Girls Aloud or whatever, it f**ks everybody up !! It's now a "business - pure and simple", one riddled with dodgy practices, mistruths, and deliberate manipulation of the market. It's no longer got anything remotely to do with "the capitalist model and supply & demand" which some people seem to champion the cause of, it's by contrast got everything to do with a wholesale manipulation of a market at the expense of the innocent.

Anyway, as Andy JS says ......... we WAIT !!

I think some of you missed something long time ago when Frank Zappa told us:
We're only in it for the money
So the Streetfighing Man is no longer your bluesy socialist fighter, but egocentric enough for the big bucks.
Already in 69 it was crystal clear the Rock and Roll will exaggerate all our Love and Peace dreams and make us richer or poorer, whatever that direction you went to for you own life.
It is never asked whether you're guilty "after all it was you and me" or whether you got start it up.
The honor to have four concerts and it sounds to me that for the moment there is nothing else planned is what we get. So take the big bucks or get emotionaly rescued in your memory motel.
