I could afford it. I just don't think it's anywhere close to being worth what they're asking. No band is. Its actually more a case of principle than finance.

Nope. No interest. Mind was made up the moment I clicked out of ticketmaster a few minutes after 9 am the day the tickets went on sale. Had a price limit, nothing decent was available in that range so it was one of the easiest decisions I've ever made. Cathartic, in fact.
A 24 hour trip at short notice - even allowing for the fact I got a very good price on a hotel room because I booked it way before the shows were confirmed - would cost me about £500 if I got a concert ticket for £300. Thats @#$%& insane and I have loads of other priorities and things I'd rather spend my dough on. Good luck to everyone who's decided to go, however.

LOADS on ebay, and if anything ... more are appearing on ebay as time goes on. Me thinks the scalpers have badly over-estimated demand at these prices, a lot of the items listed have attracted no interest whatsoever.

Sorry Paulywaul, this might be for ebay.com, but on ebay.co.uk the pages declined from 8 to 6 now leaving less and less offers. Most of them have not been considdered with bids. I assume some have been sold under the bid price with negotiations close to face value.
To my understanding some of the resale ticket agents do offer a pick up service on the day of the concert normally. However as 25th is Sunday you may have to trust that the tickets will be hold for you at the ticket booth/window right at 02.

My own opinion is that anyone looking for a pit ticket will be very very lucky to ever find one being offered at face value, so I'm getting used to the idea that I will not be joining my two friends in the pit on Sunday 25th, I'll be in block 113 instead. I'm prepared to pay 5 to 10 percent over face value myself, if I see one being offered for that, I'll have a go at buying it. If not, then no big deal ... I'll stick where I am.

Depending on the size of the screen it may show up more or less pages, sorry I did not think of that. forgive me.
I have already my tickets in hand, so my worries and hopes go for the ones who are sill trying to get a ticket or a better one.
As I menionted before I am confident that there will be a decrease on ticket prices at least with the resellers and I also believe that there will be quite an amount offered again by ticketmaster at a later date.

Yes, I actually have mine already too, it's just that I'm trying to upgrade to a pit ticket for the first night. Interestingly enough, there have been no further releases from Ticketmaster or Seetickets over the last few days. I think at the moment there will be no further changes to that general situation until much closer to the dates of the shows; at least I HOPE I'm right in thinking and saying that !!
I thought you can choose the amount of tickets after you hid the BUY button. But I might be wrong for some of the offers. Also on ebay are offers that you can choose the amount 1 or 2.Quote

Yes, it's been very quiet at Ticketmaster now for a good few days, at least for the 25:th which is the date I've booked hotel and flight for.. Another thing that bothers me a bit, as I'll travel alone this time, is that most other offers at Seatwave, Getmein etc, is for bundles of two tickets...
I need a good one and i need it soon.... Btw, once again, great thread this one with loads of useful info.

Yes. Looking forward to it. Very pleasantly surprised to see its being shown in the UK, which must be a first for a PPV event for a US concert.

Fair enough Gazza. I'll be trying my luck at the last moment, but location is a big factor in this. The O2 is about a 30 minute bus ride from where I live. If there was additional travel involved on top of these silly prices, I would give this a miss. I still suspect there will be more to come next year, but after five years I'm getting hungry for another Stones gig.

Which show is going to be a PPV job, and how does one subscribe to it/how does it work ?

The Newark show on Saturday 15th december will be shown as a PPV in the US.
Its also being shown live from 2 am on Sky Box Office.
Assuming you have Sky, you can just order it in the normal way you would for other Sky Box Office events, by clicking on the onscreen instructions to order it. They'll add the bill to your regular Sky bill (the cost is £14.95, which i.s the going rate for when they show boxing events on SKY Box Office)[/quote
I have just had Sky installed and am not sure how PPV works. I am based in the UK and will be out for the count at 2am. Do Sky give you the opportunity to record it and watch it at a more convenient time? I am tempted to watch it but they seem to release the PPV's as the official DVD which I will end up buying anyway.
