"A mentally challenged audience" - Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

There don't know any better. I guess getting away from the trailor park is a good time for them. I saw Nugent about ten years ago. I think I was the only one there not missing my front teeth.

Hmmm. Bigoted? Racist? I do not know. I do know I am called racist for not liking rap musics BUT have not called the audience for that musics names - like you.

All I'm stating is i think I was the only one there that had dental care.

You probably meant to call them a "dentally" challenged audience. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

...or more likely, they sat him the dentally challenged section, to fit in.

Johnny Ramone was a staunch republican. Where's the intense hatred for him?

He was a Reagan Republican.

Ted may be a great entertainer and some Democrats may make offensive remarks but I don't see why either of these points are relevant. If you say I will be "dead or in jail by this time next year" if Obama is re-elected you might expect a bit of Secret Service interest.

Celebs are a funny kind of bird ... there is no telling what they might say or do... if one is a celebrity type, and the press has not talked about one for a while, and one starts feeling lonely for some press, there is no telling what kind of crazy things one might say.... they might even say something as silly like "I snorted my Dad".... just to get the press all worked up, and their panties in a bind....

the lesson learned here is... it is probably best to leave the PresoftheUS out of crazy comments.

People make inappropriate jokes all the time. Every now and again you get some half wit in an airport making a 'joke' about having a bomb and then they wonder why the next words they hear are 'full cavity search'.

Celebs should have more sense because they get their comments reported.

I think they know exactly what they are doing winking smiley

A friend of mine once said "The press/media is The Stones sandbox"...
but these days it probably applies to a far wider group of media whores...
heck it has grown legs and has created it's own cottage industry. Looking at you TMZ.

The only thing celebs care about?
Make sure the press spells their name correctly.

My Stones friend and I have a running joke. We're obsessed with the Stones. Our other friend, whom we dine with often, is a Ted Nugent fan. So we'll be discussing .... Some Girls vs Tattoo You, Exile vs Beggars, Anita vs Bianca etc......and ask condescendingly, 'So what do you consider to be Ted Nugent's masterpiece?' or 'Who's your favorite Ted chick?'
Prime example of musical snobbery at its most obnoxious.

Well... yeah... but what does he answer? Who is his favorite Ted Chick?

You know what we need to do with this thread?
We should invite Ted Nugent to come talk to us... for fun...
plus I wanna pitch him on this "Ted Nugents Restaurant" idea.

In case anyone missed it...

Heck, come to think of it... Ted should open his own chain of fast food outlets serving cooked animal meat... I can see it now... COME ON DOWN TO CRAZY TED's!!! WE KILL IT, WE COOK IT, YOU EAT IT!! WE'RE CRAZY!!!!... and then have Ted come swinging in on a rope, in a loin cloth... then cut to Ted doing his Nugentbabble telling all of the menu items beef, chicken, pork, white buffalo, Bunnys, Bambi... then show him biting into juicy ribs... and then.... say something like... CRAZY TEDS'S where we reserve the right to refuse service anyone - No vegetarians or Al Qaeda allowed. 20% military discount every day 2-6.

The Ted Restaurant is a great idea. For even more fun, it could be, 'You hunt it, you kill it, you clean it, WE COOK IT!".

You could even serve it on a pita bread, as a sort of tip-of-the-hat to PETA!

The thing that's sad about the whole Nugent non-event is how much
attention it's garnered. Y'know, we have real problems and this crap
doesn't advance solutions, these episodes are real distractions.

Nuge shoots one too many bears. OK, THIS time he got caught ...
how many times has he gotten away with this before? That's more
relevant than this Obama sidebar story.

Funny - I was just thinkin about Johnny Ramone and I guess others were too. There´s no hatred for Johnny, cause he had common sense. I dont agree with his point of views, but he was never extremist idiot like Ted Nugent. Johnny was well spoken republican - what´s wrong with that. Ted is giving bad name to all the Republicans. At least Johnny Ramone was able to have a decent converstation and he was able to speak without threats of violence. He was able to listen to the other side as well - To remind you: the lead singer Joey Ramone was leftist and they were able to be in the same band for years.

Today's extremist Republican party, even tho they call him a saint would peg Reagan a flaming liberal if he was new to the scene now. (Apart from that ever failing "trickle down" theory that has been proven people's nature is one of greed over and over again)
