I can sure appreciate Ike And Tina. One of the first concerts I attended was the Ft. Worth show in the early 70s. Me and my friends got our tkts at the box office shortly before showtime and requested as close as we could get. We received front row center!! It didnt draw a large crowd. Ike said " I know theres people in the balcony cause I can see lighters!" LOL Anyway being of "pale" complexion we stood out like lightbulbs. Seing the IKETTES and Tina from a few feet away was exciting( we were 16) to say the least. Tina had fun with us asking "Why are you guys having a hard time standing up?" HA HA! But we had a blast and were treated fantastic by everyone around us( and Ike and Tina!)

I am totally looking forward to the BB King and Ike and Tina sets! That's how the Rolling Stones originally intended the album, and those acts were awesome, which is why the Stones chose them for the tour.

Does anyone know if GYYYO will be getting a UK release? I can't show my support for the Opening Of The Vaults if I can't buy it!

Unfortunately the Deluxe-release does not contain the complete concert from the 27th or the 28th. According to the announcements we have "the entire concert for the first time" on DVD. So I'm a little bit disappointed. At least I hope that the Deluxe-edition contains the original Under my Thumb/I'm Free-medley and not the ill-separated versions from that computer-game and the Prodigal Son original without the added bass drum. Further I hope that they raise the sound level of the solos on Satisfaction, I'm Free and Under my Thumb, particularly the brilliant solo of MT on I'm Free (in the middle of the song and at the end, hear the incredible few bluesy notes of MT there, it is simply great).

<and the Prodigal Son original without the added bass drum.>

What do you mean here, an overdub? They did several versions of PS where Charlie joined in, no?

i think charlie did play his bass drum on PS...but it could also be an overdub !
He definately joined in so you'd think the bass drum beat is authentic...

That's right, but hear the version of Guitar Hero, please, and compare it to the originals at MSG. There is no bass drum, a little hi-hat, sure, but no further drumming. So I think it is an overdub which doesn't fit to the arrangement of the song during the 69 tour imo.

As stated before, the bassdrum on PS can be heard on recordings of various shows, I really doubt this is an overdub.

Finally!!!!! After reading thru about 50 of these comments, TATTERS finally addresses my interest in this new release. I consider Ya Ya's the Holy Grail of live Albums. And Obviously the recordings Have much better quality than in The Gimmie Shelter movie, even though they are both from the same concerts. This is due to overdubbing. Now, I have always considered the version of Satisfaction from the Gimmie movie as the best version of that song EVER. And I was ALWAYS disappointed that the song was not on the album in the "Polished up" version. I have always wondered if maybe, just maybe, they overdubbed and worked on all of the songs and then picked the 10 songs that they picked, and that somewhere in some vault there was a polished up version of Satisfaction. I think I am hoping against hope...but this is the reason I am buying this new release.

There is no overdubbing on Ya Yas and the GS movie. YaYas has vocal overdubs and some edits, but no instrumental overdubs. Satisfaction from GS has the first part from the 28 November 1st show, and the second part from the 2nd show.

I've had 27th from audience and 2 shows 28th in soundboard for about 20 years, the songs on the DVD look like Gimme Shelter. So 3 songs on DVD are great but don't make the package for me. Ike/Tina and BB sound interesting.

How about sharing your 2 Nov 28 1969 SBD shows?
It'll be kinda cool to hear those 2 full shows in soundboard quality!

28th both shows in soundboard quality? If this is correct, it would be sensational! Please share this one with us!

So why reveal this and not release the music to the band, or someone who can make it available for release? Maybe you can do the right thing and make some money in the process. Otherwise, this is big time BS!

I have 2 cassettes of the 28th shows. I got them from a German bootlegger about 20 years ago. I'm surprised that they're not circulating. If the Stones or Decca want them they can have them.

I only have a Walkman for cassettes now and I don't own a computer to transfer them.

And for those who accuse me of BS I've been part of IORnR for 27 years and those who know me will tell you I never lie.

I have to look for the tapes. I've got 1400 cassettes in the loft of Stones stuff so it might take a while. I also have a tape of Ronnie being interviewed in 1988 for a magazine which I'd like to find and get put on CD while there are still some tape players out there.

Can any one confirm that there has never been any fake MSG 69 tapes circulating? If not they're the real deal.
