Yes, some of those songs mentioned that were on Tracks are among my favorites and are on my on mixed Tracks single disc collection: Sad Eyes and Loose Change, which is really great.

My Love Will Not Let You Down
Lion's Den
Rockaway the Days
Leavin' Train
Seven Angels
Gave It A Name
Sad Eyes
My Lover Man
Loose Change
Trouble In Paradise
Brothers Under the Bridge

Then the other songs from Tracks that are on my iPod are:
Roulette

Johnny Bye Bye
Pink Cadillac
Two For the Road
Janey, Don't You Lose Heart (one of my fave Bruce songs)
Lucky Man
Stand On It
Shut Out the Light

(mostly because they're B-Sides)

Thankfully nothing of the caliber of "Queen of The Supermarket." EVERYTHING on the 4 CD box set is better than ANYTHING on "Working On A Dream."

Not quite true - you're all merrily forgetting the proto-Queen of Walmart - the atrocious CAR WASH.

I had thought that in this thread was listed Bruce's Record Store Day 2009 release, but I'm not finding it. Does someone know the name of his release from last year? Thought I'd look for it tomorrow.
thanks

10-inch single. Wrecking Ball (live Giants Stadium 2009) b/w Ghost of Tom Joad (live with Tom Morello, 2008). Both tracks were previously only available as i-tunes releases.

Last year's was a 7' of What Love Can Do/A Night With The Jersey Devil.

Thanks Gazza!! Hoping they still have a copy of last year's laying around since the guy said that he still has stuff from the first Record Store Day event! And were last year's songs available anywhere else? I don't recognize the titles although Jersey Devil sounds a bit familiar.....

'Night with the Jersey Devil'(complete with video) was put on his website as a 'gift' for Halloween '08.

'What Love Can Do' is a song from his most recent album.

Thanks again - always a wealth of knowledge, be it Stones or Bruce-related, Gazza!

Well unfortunately, the store where I picked up my Plundered My Soul 45 didn't have the new Bruce single at least not out. One guy must have called ahead to have it put aside after I was told that the guy doesn't do it, because the guy behind the counter pulled out one and slipped it to the guy standing 2 people over from me sad smiley But I am not bummed, as it was my first visit there, and I am definitely going back!! They had some fantastic 12" Stones singles with some of those 12" only B-Sides on them like Undercover, Mick's Let's Work, and another whose name now escapes me. I'm hoping that I'll build up enough of a rapport for next year. Didn't see the REM Chronic Town EP LP anywhere either...

I went to Record Store Day at Soundgarden in Baltimore. When I got there at 10:15 am, there was a line out of the store and all the way down the block. I heard that people starting arriving there at 6 am.

After a one-hour wait, I finally got in the store: No Plundered My Soul, no Tom Joad, no Chronic Town, no Costello at Hollywood High, etc. There were a bunch of Hendrix at Clark University, Magnetic Fields, Wilco in Chicago, and Crooked Vultures 10"s. So I got the Hendrix and Crooked Vultures and a few other things.

Record companies need to print more copies of the in-demand records for this event. By limiting printings to 1,000 or so copies, they're only benefit the eBay crowd.

Since when have most record companies been sensible, clever, wise or had foresight? This is why the industry's screwed.

Second Bruce live DVD in a row to be taken from a show I was at. Nice.

Odd choice of show for a 'souvenir' of that tour, though - being a festival gig.

These times are obviously so 'exciting' that a quick search shows that you havent managed to make a single post on the subject since it was announced. You've made plenty on THIS thread though, ensuring it remains on the front page every time.

Genius.

Not quite the complete show. No Rosalita. Bruce was pretty knackered when he did it. I hope they include the moment (clearly visible on the screens, when Steve asked him if they were going to do one more after Dancing in the Dark - "No - I'm f-cked!").
