An awesome version. I believe Charlie mentions the song to Mick first and then Mick starts playing it. After watching it a few times, I'm wondering now how spontaneous it actually was. The fact that there were several cameras filming from all angles, the whole thing makes me wonder if they knew the Stones were going to break out into a song as opposed to they just happen to catch them at Forum: Tell Me
Hi LA FORUM. I remember laughing that KISS have two songs, Domino and Little Caesar, that are also pizza chains! Hopefully they'll write a song called Papa John and Pizza Hut!!
When KISS tour Germany, they had to change their logo so instead of the lightning bolt look, the two S's look like backwards Z's. Forum: Tell Me
I'm a big fan of 70's KISS. They were a marketing machine back then. KISS dolls, toys, Marvel comics, posters, etc. No band except for maybe the Beatles would be albe to release solo albums by all the band members at once. I was kept updated of the band via my younger brother, who's a huge KISS fan so I know about the lineup changes in the 80's and their albums. Saw the Psyc Forum: Tell Me
Hi Helter,
Futureshop is a Canadian Electronics chain that was actually bought out by BestBuy, although there are now Best Buys in Canada, too. Futureshop was the only outlet that sold 4 Flicks when it came out and it appears they and Best Buy will be the only retailers for the Biggest Bang. Forum: Tell Me
Of course, the NHL playoffs were huge in Canada, although from what I heard, many Leafs fans in Ontario didn't watch or wanted Ottawa to lose.
Even though I live in Canada, I was cheering for Anaheim. I'm sure alot more locals on the West Coast have been to Anaheim than Ottawa to go to Disneyland.
Congratulations to Teemu Selanne who played great in the playoffs and finally wins a St Forum: Tell Me
FYI, Futureshop is owned by Best Buy so they'll probably have exclusive selling rights in Canada similar to Four Flicks, although Best Buy is now in Canada, too. Forum: Tell Me
Simon Wright took over from Phil Rudd in 1983 with AC/DC and lasted until 1988. I believe he left AC/DC to join Dio. Not the greatest career move.
Also, Mark Evans was their original bass player and he was replaced in 1978 with Cliff Williams. In 1988 on their Blow Up Your Video tour, Malcolm was unable to tour due to health problems so their nephew Stevie Young filled in. Forum: Tell Me
They played a special warm up show last night in Vancouver for fan club members. From what I saw on the local news, scalpers will take a huge hit since they'll be doing three shows in Vancouver now. Many are selling below cost just to try to recoup some of their losses. Forum: Tell Me
Couldn't be bothered watching the race after the long rain delay. Glad to see Mr. Ashley Judd win! Duno shouldn't have been racing today. Only her second IRL start. Having said that, alot of the drivers at the back of the pack shouldn't have been racing today. Forum: Tell Me
Aerosmith right now is the original lineup, although both Perry and Whitford left in the early 80's only to rejoin a few years later.
I guess The Police would count. They're doing a show in Vancouver tonight for fan club members and then Monday and Wednesday are their first official tour shows in Vancouver. Forum: Tell Me
In Spinal Tap, the band mention that they had to "apologize" for Duke Fame's set. The audience were still booing him when they came on!
When I saw Van Halen in 1984, they had some rockabilly act opening for them and they got booed relentlessly. Did about a 25 minute set and then ran off stage. After one song ended, they immediately started the next song so there wouldn't Forum: Tell Me
I'll be watching the race. I follow CHAMP CAR and IRL. Danica is the most over hyped driver in history! Her main claim to fame is that she lead the Indy 500 near the end of the race, all because she didn't make a pit stop when all the others did. She ended up finishing 4th and got all the headlines. She hasn't made a podium finish yet despite racing for a couple great teams, R Forum: Tell Me
Hey Edith. Yes, School's Out came with paper panties! Alice's early albums had those little extras. Killer had the gatefold 1972 calendar with Alice being hanged and Billion Dollar Babies album was a green wallet with the billion dollar bill inside as well as the tear out band photos. I think the Blu Ray will win out eventually. As was mentioned, other companies are supporting the format and not just Sony. Also, since Sony has their own movie studio, all of their movies will be released in Blu Ray and not HDDVD. Forum: Tell Me

Hi Jomo,
I live near Vancouver and there are also a few people on this board that live in the Greater Vancouver area. Good to hear you're having a good time and also the weather here is finally nice.
BC Place (the stadium with the huge white roof downtown) is where the Stones played their last show back in December. In early January we had a huge windstorm and it tore a hole in the roo Forum: Tell Me
Hey MsTuesday. I know what you mean about them being on 101. I remember in the 90's, I used to work alot of graveyard shifts and I'd listen to CFOX and they would play then constantly. It got to the point where I can sing along to most of their songs yet I don't own any of their CD's! Forum: Tell Me
This DVD was discussed a while ago. I think it's a great concert performance and I actually like the old standards part. Jana is awesome Rod should have made special mention of her after Maggie May/Gasoline Alley.
During Wonderful World, Rod goes to the side of the stage and sits next to a lady who is wearing a pass. Everyone around her is all excited but she is fairly calm. I was wonder Forum: Tell Me
Four Flicks was sold exclusively at FutureShop in Canada, which is owned by Best Buy. Ironically, Best Buy is now in Canada, too, so there are some shopping malls that have both FutureShop and Best Buy. Forum: Tell Me
The Hip are probably the biggest rock band in Canada, yet for some reason, they didn't achieve much success in the States. Don't know why they didn't when Bare Naked Ladies, Alanis, Nelly Furtado, Celine, Shania, Avril, etc. did! Forum: Tell Me
The Sweet Emotion video is from Saturday Night Live from either 93 or 94 as Chelsea says. I taped this when it aired and I think this was the best performance I've ever seen on SNL! The band definitely rocked that night. Crying was also excellent. You can see the keyboardist to the left of Joey Kramer singing background vocals.
In 2003, they performed Jaded and Big 10 Inch Record on SNL. Forum: Tell Me
Their keyboardist also sings background vocals in concert. When I saw them on Saturday Night Live, he was singing background on Jaded. Not sure what his name is. Forum: Tell Me
