So there was a tremendous amount of interest on this board in the Police tour when it was first announced and when they played at the Grammy Awards. Presumably a lot of people who post on this board are going to see the Police and I'm curious whether they are still as pumped up to see them as they were a few months ago. I myself sort of got swept up in the hysteria surrounding this tour and got suckered into paying $198 for two terrible seats. As the concert approaches, I find I'm not particularly looking forward to it.

Saw Genesis on tv at the VH1 rock honors and Collins sounded like his voice was shot.

So,so. 70 concerts in the US and Europe within 6 monthes is a good record. That means someting like 2.5 Millions audience.

They played a special warm up show last night in Vancouver for fan club members. From what I saw on the local news, scalpers will take a huge hit since they'll be doing three shows in Vancouver now. Many are selling below cost just to try to recoup some of their losses.
