Sucks the band didn't show up, but then again Bill and Charlie didn't bother to show up in 89. Good list danielb. Another band that went through alot of singers in a short period is Deep Purple. Went from Rod Evans (Hush) to Ian Gillan (Smoke on the Water) to David Coverdale (Burn) within a short time frame.

Canada is springing forward with the US because it would cause total chaos if we didn't! Financial markets, airlines, etc. would be out of sync for three weeks. Whether springing forward earlier will actually save energy overall is debatable. I actually don't mind since it will be light out later.

Saw him in concert several years ago in Vancouver. I think he does the summer tour circuit in the States. No, he can't draw crowds like Seger but I'm sure he can still draw decent crowds. I would go to see him again.

Are you sure Peter is still with them? I thought Eric Singer was drumming with KISS, as well as Alice Cooper's band?

Tommy Aldridge is an awesome drummer! I first got into him when he was with the Pat Travers band (Boom Boom Out Go The Lights). He then joined Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz. Imagine him and Randy Rhoads on guitar in concert! He then replaced the legendary Cozy Powell in Whitesnake. Saw him a couple times with them. Great drum solos playing with his hands. Must get sore hands slapping the cymb

I'm still a bit mad that Morrison couldn't open for the Stones in Vancouver last November but last week he swung through Western Canada. I didn't go to see him but I've read several reviews of people who did who weren't pleased. From what I understand, he has no opening act and he starts at 7:30 pm exactly. He rarely acknowledges the crowd and doesn't say anythi

Jethro Tull weren't playing live. Ian Anderson's vocals as well as his flute playing were live, but the rest were just faking. You'll notice the guitarist is a young Tony Iommi just before Black Sabbath.

They couldn't even bother going to his funeral! Mick had to go to Australia to film Ned Kelly but I'm sure the makers of the film would understand if he was late because he had to attend the funeral. In 25x5 Bill said that Keith was in the studio during the funeral. I doubt they've ever gone to Cheltenham to pay respects at the graveyard.

I was actually reading about this last night in Bill's book. Bill says Keith really had nothing to do with it. Andrew just put his name on it. Of course, Aranbee is "R&B".

I have a book which is a biography of Alexis Korner written by a guy named Harry Shapiro published in 1996. He talks about Alexis being at Cotchford Farm and how Alexis organized rehearsals for various musicians at the farm including the late Vincent Crane and Carl Palmer, then of Atomic Rooster, John Mayall, Mitch Mitchell and Jeff Beck's drummer, Mickey Waller. I'm not sure who Vinc

I logged on to the tickemaster website searching for 2 seats, any section and there were none available in Vancouver. I also see that the top ticket price is $425 for gold seating!! WTF?!? When I watched the local Vancouver newscasts showing people lined up for tickets, alot of them were baby boomers saying they saw them back in the late 70's and early 80's.

They announced an additional show in Vancouver and Montreal after the original dates sold out. Vancouver show sold out within minutes, which is pretty amazing. They're playing GM Place, which holds just under 19000 for hockey and is right across the street from BC Place, where the Stones finished up their tour. Bell Centre in Montreal holds around 21000 for hockey. I'm not that su

Glassslide: PLEASE post the boots (video or audio) on Hot Stuff. I've seen the three vids in the past but never had a chance to tape them. Unchained is a great vid, the opening song. I like Alex lighting his gong on fire at the end of the song. 81 was the first time I saw the Mighty VH in concert.

Hi Sweet Neo. When I saw Springsteen in Vancouver on the Born in the USA tour, he actually stopped the show because people rushed to the front during the opening song, which was Born In The USA. Told people to go back to their actual seats! Regarding the Dancing In The Dark vid, that was from one of the first shows of the tour in Minnesota. Courtney Cox was basically an unknown model/actress

Hi Sweetcharmed. I know that VH recorded the Oakland shows from 1981. Unfortunately no live album came out but they did release some live videos from the show, including Unchained and So This Is Love.

Those songs were posted here several months ago. I must have downloaded them but I guess I deleted them. I do recall, though, that the left and right channels were reversed on the songs for some reason. I believe the person who posted them said that's the way he got them. I bought the London Hot Rocks 1 disc back in 86, which was mastered by Mobile Fidelity. Hot Rocks was sold as 2 separ

Any idea who's opening for them? I just saw their last show with Motley in Vancouver just before Christmas. Great live show. Hopefully bassist Tom Hamilton will be able to tour with them, since he was unable in the fall due to a medical condition.

Bill's book says Brian played recorder and piano on the song. I guess the only time the song was played live with Brian would have been the final European tour in 67.

Hey NickB. Aerosmith "Fly by Night"?? They've been around 34 years and have sold just as many albums in the States as the Stones have. Just saw them in December and they still rock as hard as ever. As far as the bands you mentioned like Booker T and Muddy, I'm sure most on this board like them but wouldn't consider them their favorite. Also, the USA has a great count

As Keef said, it all depends on where you are. I've seen the Stones six times at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver and I thought it sounded great because I was on the floor most of the time close to the stage. Friends who were in the upper deck on the endzone said the sound was terrible.
