The other real gems with this one are the previously (and subsequently) unreleased Broonzy cover, Tell Me, track #2 on Side 2 and the single-day "release" of @#$%& Blues on the blank label 45. It is also interesting to note that the b-side of Jagger's Memo From Turner, Natural Magic is included. Perhaps this was as a gift to longtime friend, Jack Nitzsche, who would get all wri

WOW! Getting hot in here about Mick T.!!!! I really like Mick Taylor's playing, and I think that the band was never better (perhaps equalled, but never better) than with him. That said, meeting these folks is not always pleasant. I met Mick Taylor in 1992 on the Tumblin Dice tour in Atlanta, GA, and he was hardly a gentleman. (Bobby Keys was a nice guy and played incredibly well, as d

AWESOME! I love it when everyone gets so optomistic about some new or rare stuff being brought out. I would not, however, expect these guys to deviate too much from the typical setlists. Similar to what Gazza said, and in addition to a few one-offs (6 Days on the Road and Under the Boardwalk come to mind), Jagger will likely sing 25 different songs this tour, 22 or so which will come from the

1. Rough Justice (their best tune since 1978!) 2. Back of My Hand (best blues since Exile) 3. Driving too Fast (simple rock and roll)

(Sorry, I hit post message too quickly.) I would love to see Keith mix it up with some stuff that we do not hear often. I never need to hear Happy or BTMMR or even Wanna Hold You ever again. YES, play Coming Down Again or something with one caveat - no more Nearness of You. I know, I know, a zillion of y'all are going to write - I always loved that. So did I, by those who sang it year

Am I the only one who thinks that Keith's sets are often the most boring parts of the show? I mean, unlike all otehr members of the band, Keith is clearly little more than a parody of what he was in 2002 when he still played some of the time. If one looks and listens closely, it has been since 1975 or even 73 since Keith played honestly for a whole show. It seems though, that since Woody

Otis doing Satisfaction is amazing, just as are the following: 1. Jumping Jack Flash (Live from A Song for You) - Leon Russell 2. Jumping Jack Flash (bluegrass version) - Leon Russell w/ New Grass Revival 3. Jumping Jack Flash - Flamin Groovies 4. Before They Make Me Run - Steve Earle w/ Supersuckers 5. Under My Thumb - Social Distortion 6. Let It Bleed - Johnny Winter 7. Jumping Jack Fl

There are so many out there, but these rock out loud: 1. Linus & Lucy - Vince Guiraldi Trio 2. Merry Christmas from the Family - Robert Earl Keen 3. I Believe in Father Christmas - Greg Lake (not ELP version) 4. Father Christmas - Kinx 5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Broooooooooce! 6. Step Into Christmas - Elton John 7. Run Rudolph Run - Keith Richard (bad mix, though!) 8. Frank

Say what you want, it might have been Scholz' band, but without the voice of Brad Delp, like whom no one, and I mean no one, could sing, whatever they do, will be like a Charlie Watt-less Stones.

I don't care what the haters or the homers say - Led Zeppelin was one incredibly bad-ass band that did ntohing but rock the floor every single night they played and with every single rekkid they released. Some were better than others, sure, but overall, their proficiency was incredible. I agree with GasLight - no comparison b/t Zep and the Stones, and who cares? They are both amazing!

QuoteGasLightStreet It really needs to have Undercover Of The Night on it. And Harlem Shuffle. And Everything Is Turning To Gold. Oh and Miss You, the UK edit. All of those pre-date the Vegas era. I think that Everything's Turning to Gold is one of their best trax from the Some Girls-era.

Breaking news - the Stones did NOT tour in 1986 behind Dirty Work!!!! This was also the last new LP they did not tour behind, so there was probably the need to open up some Undercover songs. However, IF they had toured, I think that the following songs would have been in the mix for 1986, in some order like this: 1. Start Me Up 2. She's So Cold 3. Tumbling Dice 4. Had It With You

About half of this LP has aged quite well, while the other half is simply boring. Undercover of the Night, Pretty Beat Up, Too Tough, She Was Hot, and Too Much Blood are good tracks, with UOTN and Pretty Beat Up being great trax. Wanna Hold You, All the Way Down, and Feel On, Baby are b-o-r-i-n-g! Tie You Up and It MUst Be Hell are merely a great band treading water. Any other band wo

Here is a pic of one, though not mine, as I am loath to put it and other rare collectibles up in too good of a quality, because people will "steal" the images to make pirates thereof. Some folks know how to overlay watermarx, but I am not that smart, yet. Here is a pic of someone's Street Fighter:

To me, the first Zep LP is hard to listen to anymore, as (again, for me), it has not aged very well. Don't get me wrong, I love Communication Breakdown, Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You, and Good Times Bad Times, but I never need to hear You Shook Me again. The Brown Bomber has its moments of incredible stuff, but III is where they reallyg o going with Tangerine, Gallows Pole,a nd Celebrat

Quotetreaclefingers What do you consider your most valuable, or rare piece? I think for me it's the Heart of Stone 45 and picture sleeve. Although the Winning Ugly set with picture sleeve, 45 and 12" is pretty rare as well. I have most of the original UK DECCA's in Mono and Stereo...love those, but varying degrees of rareness and value. Probably some unique acetates with
