nice idea all the same.

wouldnt mind a latter day greatest songs cd.

weve already had plenty of compilations from the 60,s and from the 70,s and 80,s combined.

stones have plenty of decent material to release a compilation of songs from the last 24 years and im sure we all have our own opinions of what should and what shouldnt be included.

heres my tuppence worth.

1. hold on to your hat
2. almost hear you sigh
3. continental drift
4. break the spell
5. high wire
6. love is strong
7. brand new car
8. the worst
9. i go wild
10. blinded by rainbows
11. like a rolling stone
12. gunface
13. you dont have to mean it
14. already over me
15. infamy
16. this place is empty
17. rough justice
18. laugh i nearly died
19. biggest mistake
20. plundered my soul
21. doom and gloom

A live version of "Little Baby"? I don't think they ever played it in concert.

Under The Radar
Out of Tears

Side 3

She Saw Me Coming
No Spare Parts
Oh No, Not You Again
So Young
It Won't Take Long
Almost Hear You Sigh

Side 4

Blinded By Love
Blinded By Rainbows
Continental Drift
This Place Is Empty
Thief In The Night

i would prefer this way of comilations. not to do some new comps with the usual stuff, instead you should have, well 60s, 70s, 80s...and after a few new records, a new compilation but just about these records...

Save the vinyl: a best of the Vegas era could be reduced to a 7" single of Out of Control b/w Back of My Hand.

Maybe this is an 8-track only release. Saint of me fades out and back in after a huge click >grinning smiley<

You can not put Suck on the Jugular on any greatest hits album. That is one of the worst songs in the Stones cannon. But yes there are a lot of good tunes post Undercover that are overlooked by a lot of people including the Stones themselves.

REDONE TO CORRECT ERRORS & MAKE SONGS FLOW BETTER

The title of the LP is The Son of the Return of More Fazed Cookies (It's Good to Be Anywhere, Innit, Keef?)

To be released on vinyl, colored vinyl, CD, USB, and nu disk on November 12th. Bonus material is discussed below.

Side 1

Rough Justice
You Don't Have to Mean It
Corinna (Live w/ Taj Mahal)
Love Is Strong
Out of Control (Live)

Side 2

You Got Me Rocking
Oh No, Not You Again
Highwire
Slipping Away
One More Shot

Side 3

Suck on the Jugular
Infamy
Out of Tears
Little Baby
Jump on Top of Me

Side 4

Doom and Gloom
Back of My Hand
Saint of Me
Driving Too Fast
Like a Rolling Stone (Live)

COMMENTARY

1. I did NOT reach for any of the Exile or Some Girls bonus trax, because those were pretty much all done prior to 1989.

2. Little Baby, after input from all, seems to be a "quasi-live" track cut in one take in the studio.

3. I avoided live versions of old songs they did prior to the Vegas-era.

4. I have determined that the "bonus" material will be a one-sided 7" of "Any Way You Look At It" with a HUGE scratch built into each copy so the OPENING note repeats over and over to save the listener from having to hear what could be the absolute worst piece of fecal matter recorded by this band over its 51 year history! The PS for the bonus 7" will be chosen from artwork submitted by memners of this board.

5. The track by LP breakdown is:

Steel Wheels - 1
Voodoo Lounge - 3
Stripped - 2
Bridges to Babylon - 2 (3 if OOC counts)
A Bigger Bang - 5
singles & live LPs - 7

I think, eeeeb beee deeeeb beee deeeeb, that's all, folks!

Since it's a "could be" then Streets Of Love maintains its appropriate place in Stones history as their "absolute worst piece of fecal matter"!!!!

Thanks for all those clarifiers...my version is the better album though.

And from a previous thread, I'll call it, "Appreciation Lifecycle"

Good idea...then when you hurl it against the wall you don't damage any of the other songs!
