Rock N Roll isn't meant to be original. If you are looking for originality you have the wrong style of music. Seems anyone who says ".... is a Stones copycat" is the type of person who only listens to one band and can't really be considered a music fan or authority at all. I have Shake Your Moneymaker and liked it when it first came out but I saw them once and it bored me almo

"why is an inro or a riff not protected by copywright laws? they are stealing music that someone else created." This would open a whole can of worms in regards to the Stones own catalog for sure. I think this is something they would rather leave alone. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

"U2 fans appreciate the U2 "warhorses" so to speak and never complain where Stones fans are tired of Stones warhorses. " To be truthful, I wouldn't count a few internet whiners as being representative of Stones fans.

"That list of unavailable shows is simply amazing, especially considering this really could be the last time we see them in North America as part of a World Tour." Tickets are really expensive while both sound and taping conditions for the most part totally suck. Keep in mind next time if you really really want your show you should consider taking matters into your own hands. But

"i believe the stones and depeche mode are the only bands to ever sell out the rose bowl. someone correct me if i'm wrong" Pink Floyd sold it out twice, though tickets for night 2 were available at the box office the day of the show and tickets were available for the Stones 2nd show for weeks or months, nixing a planned 3rd show (city council had approved 4 shows according to an

They may owe a few Europeans a show next year, otherwise there is absolutely no obligation other than the standard agreement when conducting a business transaction. In other words, they owe you nothing. If you think so, you are imagining a relationship that doesn't really exist and you may be in need of professional help. If you are disatisfied with a product, keep it mind the next time prod

"When they get paid it is deposited directly in to their personal bank accounts? " This would be my guess so they don't have to run around looking for a bank to cash the check in some strange city. Per diems are usually handed out in whatever the local currency is.

"I had one once where they only played five songs and left...I felt guilty for bringing my friends...." Actually one of my greatest dreams is to go to a Stones concert and have Mick say after a few songs "I am just not feeling anything from you guys tonight" dropping the mic and walking off. That would be the greatest Stones show ever!

As with most songs the Stones play I don't think how the song work depended so much on the venue as with the band itself. I think it sounded great earlier in the tour but got boring as it progressed as the band no longer gave it the same sort of kick and attitude the song needed to work. Thankfully they dropped it by the time they played Dodger Stadium though I thought it was a great song ea

Not sure how it works for it works for the Stones but usually hired hands get paid either per gig or per week, since often promo appearances etc are made in addition to the usual live concert appearances. For a little insight on how this works, Andy Gibb wrote a great book called "Neighborhood Threat" about his tour with Iggy Pop in 1988. In addition to salaries, musicians and crew are
