It amazes me how someone can judge a band by some cheap ass recordings done at the shows with some clown holding his recorder in the air. What an ass.

I believe it was great for him to be there, and that it was good to be anywhere.

I've mentioned it before on this board but his duet with Willie Nelson ("We Had It All") is shockingly good and even my wife, who usually hates his singing, thinks it's great.

I don't think it's the end unless one becomes ill or dies but the format is becoming very predictable and something needs to be shaken up. They will eventually run out of new places to play and the big markets will dry up if it's always the exact same show. Toronto is an example of that. Don't get me wrong, I love going. But my wife is a perfect example. She likes the Stones b

Figures, first Toronto show I miss in a long time and they play dead flowers, one of my faves and also out of control, which is also great live. Are we not getting an arena gig in the new year?

At first I thought this was silly but I believe you may have a point. Unless you are looking for it you wouldn't know it's them. But then again, you wouldn't on most of their other albums as well. (No Security comes to mind, horrible cover)

To all of you who have been left with nothing from Katrina and to those fleeing Rita I hope I speak for all those on this board in wishing you hope in this time of dire need and dispair. I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose everything, in some cases including loved ones. God Bless. Clayton Browning (aka Jackass)

Q107 here in Toronto (yes, that Q107) has played Rough Justice fairly rugularly and yesterday I heard She Saw Me Coming. Interesting note that Q107 is being investigated for their stunt with the Phoenix show and there was an article in the paper yesterday indicating that the CRTC will not throw out the complaint from the lads at Shidoobie and will proceed with their investigation. They do have a

That's a classic. And where would we be without Englebert Humperdink or Barry Manilow? And to think some people associate BB King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, etc. with Rock and Roll. I believe we cannot ignore the contributions of the Bay City Rollers either.

Oh No Not You Again, I love it. I usually love the Keith tunes but for some reason Infamy doesn't do it for me.

Believe it or not I haven't picked it up yet as it's been a very busy week. On the way home this afternoon I'm going to pick-up ABB and the new Dylan Bootleg compilation. I'll be house painting and finally listening to the album. I'm anxious to hear Infamy, when I saw them play it in Ottawa the sound wasn't great where I was sitting and it didn't sound that good

Yeah, Pete says the Who died with Moon. Yet he's not afraid to go out on the road with Daltrey and whomever and call themselves the Who so they can rake in the dough. He really annoys me and the fact he is a pedophile repulses me. They couldn't get Entwistle buried quick enough so they could get back to the road to fool the fans once again. And they do because they sell out every show.

My favorite all time Neil moment is in the Last Waltz. " I got it now Robbie" and then a beautiful version of Helpless with Joni Mitchell. I've practically worn out the dvd if that's possible. My wife get so pissed when I get pissed and throw on that DVD to pass out to. It's the simple things in life that make me happy.

Hi Rutger, big Neil fan here. Yes, this album is acoustic with a Nashville feel to it from what I gather. I've heard 2 of the tunes and they are very good, along the lines of the Harvest albums. He just played two nights in Nashville that was filmed for a movie and he said he will tour next year. In Nashville he played over 3 hours each night, half the show the new album and the other half o

I personally avoid the opening act almost every time. The sound is usually crap and so too are the bands for the most part. Mind you, if I was privy to such opening acts as Metallica, Pearl Jam, ACDC, etc. I would definetely go. But here in Toronto we never get those opening bands. Looking at the list of opening acts the one that really stands out is Merle Haggard. Seems like an unusual fit, al

Great post Saturn. I'm going to the show in Ottawa on Sunday with my sister. I'm 38 and have seen the Stones a dozen times. I, like others here, look forward to the new tunes and some of the other "non-warhorses". My sister on the other hand is 48 and has never seen them before. She's a casual fan who feels this may be her last chance so she's going to the Ottawa and

I'm with you Chelsea. I've heard RJ and SOL a couple of times each and ONNYA once from the rehearsels on their website. I'm the exact same way, get the album and listen to the entirety with notes and all. I'm not a downloader so I don't go there.

Don't know why all the concern. Since when have the Stones been a "hits driven" band. Their albums and singles generally don't fair that well on the charts (with exceptions of course). Everyone sit tight, the new tunes will be welcomed and enjoyed at the shows like they were in 89, 94 and 97. We true blue fans will buy and enjoy the album. Screw the charts, it's not impor

Listening to the only decent show on the Q this morning and Derringer plays SMU while declaring that this was the last decent song produced by the Stones. What an ignorant, stupid thing to say. It's so easy to slag the Stones because they're old. I bet he hasn't even listened to anything since. They played the 2 new tunes for a week or so and now all they do is make fun of them and
