I hated this one and I like most of Keith's tunes. It's awful on Flashpoint.

Not a big fan of the album version - occasionally it seemed to work on the stage. Agree that the Flashpoint version stinks (but, then, the whole album stinks, IMO). Was listening to the Dallas '89 sbd the other day - it sounds pretty decent there....

Never liked it.....reminds me of a lame disco song. Flashpoint is a "disapoint"...get it? Flash "point"...disa "point"????

Eff it...........I'll go back to sleep

Never really like it myself. Just doesn't seem to work.

But I HAVE always really dug the chorus!

"Well my heavy throbbers itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down"

it's never been my favorite either, but it fascinates me.
it's somehow "flashy" in a way we don't expect from Keith - which is great: we don't have no fence around Keith (and i sure wouldn't want one). the vocal line is astonishing - replacing the guitar line with his voice is mighty ambitious. and to perform it in concert - smile: that's guts & balls, baby. :E

"What do you want - what?!"

Me, who rarely, seldom or never would be bothered by lyrics
like this. Nice to back against the stream again.
Its a clumsy song, too much 80´s-ish but as lovely
withsssoul ('she´s married anyway...') says its flashy.
One of Keiths best singing ever.

This song is terrible.
Weeeeeakest song on SW by a long shot.
Yuk.

Have you ever lent somebody $20 and never seen them again? It was probably worth it.

Well, Kyle, so-so.
What about Sad Sad Sad & Blinded By Love?

Late 80's high-geared lustre rock with Keith crashin' out of the intro like the husband's posse is on his trail....Perfect for when your lovin' another man's woman, even from afar.

For full impact play in tandem with James Carr's - Dark End Of The Street.

>> Keith crashin' out of the intro like the husband's posse is on his trail <<

smile smile smile: nice, Rockman!
i just listened to it a few times - dig the RANGE that cat's voice is leaping and bounding all over! the lyric's a great rambunctious riot too - "baby baby yeah!" :E
somehow i'm always surprised - real happily surprised! - that there are no horns on it.
i'd *love* to hear some of the early takes.

"What do you want - what?!"

Hey Bab Bro

Just saw your email a few mins back. Thank you very much for the mp3 - have downloaded but not listened to yet.

As for SSS - I love it.
And BBL is a superb. Esp love the the harmony part with Mick and Keith on the word "stranger" from "don't mortgage your soul to a stranger".

Don't get me wrong on SW - I love the album.
Just could have done without CBS.

A great song that could have a better production.

Everything from the 80´s (esp. 1985-1989) could use better production...
Thanz btw Stillife (and good ol Rockman) for supporting me here smiling smiley
