DEAD REACH BACK TO LEGENDARY 1972 TOUR FOR MASSIVE BOX SET Due in fall, the 60-plus CD release includes every show from European trek. On April 1st, 1972, the Grateful Dead arrived in Britain for the opening dates of their first European tour. The timing was perfect - "the feast of fools," guitarist Bob Weir says, laughing. "There was a challenge for us, playing for people no

Quotedcba A taste of things to come... Cool. I am looking forward to more Hard Rain. I will say I much prefer Fairport's version of "I'll Keep it with Mine" over the Nico clip they show here.

QuoteMathijs Quotetomk FWIW, the Bassman is the amp used on most Beatle tunes, as Harrison used it from Rubber Soul onwards. His was a blonde 2x12 model, though. Well, the Beatles are famous for a lot of things, but not for their great guitar sounds! Mathijs What? LOL I thought The Beatles used Vox amps anyway. They may have used tweed deluxe amps prior to Beatlemania. and Paul

Quotecamper88 Whether the 1973 Brussels show is or isn't the best live performance by the Stones (not really a question that can be answered, I think), I was wondering what you consider to be the legendary concert performances of other bands or individual performers? I'd say, for example, that everyone should get a recording of Benny Goodman's band from January 18th, 1938 at C

I was going to skip the Universal remasters but I got suckered into the Amazon Box set Mediocre remasters, a few criminally Bad! ( I prefer the Virgin CDs so far) Crummy art work No bonus Tracks, not even era related B sides or remixes All in all, a Lame ass effort by all involved.

Quotephelge To be honest I thought it was a Blues Junior I was getting! (it was all done through a friend of a friend) So you reckon a BJ sounds bettter than a Deluxe? Musiciand Friend is selling the Fender Super Champ XD for $199 right now. with free footswitch. Thats not much more than a pedal! I tried one of these out at Sam Ash ealier in the year and thought it was a cool little am

RC booster is a great clean boost, interacts with volume knobs very well,EQ adjustment so you can tweak the treble. I use it with great success in front of fender style amp Or are you looking for something more like a vintage Dallas Rangemaster? I think there are several clones out there. link to RC booster check out AC booster as well

Quoteopen-g since you only want to spend 300€, the Fender Super Champ XD is in that ballpark. I've read some good reviews about it but haven't tried it myself. I tried one of these a few weeks ago at Sam Ash. Not a bad amp at all for the money, I don't know if it's gigable though. Certainly a nice bedroom or recording amp.

Yes Juniors are great guitars, something about the single PUP, same thing with an esquire. I've been told by luthier friends that the magnetic pull of the neck PUP effects the sound of the bridge PUP. So an LP special bridge PUP will not sound quite like the Jr.
