Having lived through it, I think all the Rolling Stones albums released in the 1970's are quite good. They have aged well like a fine wines.

Is There such a thing as a "Warhorse" when you haven't played for 27 years? If the Stones hadn't toured since 1980 would you complain about hearing Brown Sugar?

I believe they used the film versions of these songs as opposed to the original sound track versions. No Quarter is two minutes shorter on the new CD. Not an expert on this, but perhaps they used edited versions so they could fit everything on two discs.

Anyone notice the new TSRTS Cd is edited? They used the edited movie versions of No Quarter and Dazed and Confused verses the original Full CD and LP versions. I checked no quarter and it is two minutes shorter on the new CD. Keep your old copies. sound is great though.

The cut in Rocks off on Live Licks is unexcusable. A five year old with Soundforge could have made a better edit.

There are no Absolutes with guitars, amps, and related gear. Find a guitar that speaks to You. If an instrument motivates you to practice and create music than it is a good guitar, Regardless of cost or where it was made. That said, I know what I prefer in a strat... 9.5 neck radius (not vintage 7.25) Big fat neck carve (like a Nocaster). Had '57 reissue and the neck was too skinny

Pre-CBS is 1965 or earlier. These are very desirable vintage guitars which cost ,in most cases, over 20 thousand dollars.
