Loved it. Great as it was however, it wasn't Ry at his VERY best! Then again, even at his worst, he's far, far better than most.

Speaking personally, and having seen the Who twice already at the RAH, I think it is an absolutely crap venue, and in no way suitable for rock gigs. Anyway, they'll probably tour with Quadraphenia in late spring/early summer when we'll have genuine Who fans in the audience as opposed to the fly-by-nights who get handed these tickets to them on a plate.

Quotealimente I really wonder if I Dont Know Why would have made the final Metamorphsis track selection if ABKCO would have been aware of the fact that it actually wasnt a Jagger-Richards, but a Stevie Wonder composition BEFORE the album was released... Yes, good point.

QuoteT&A QuoteLOGIE Interestingly, when released as a single in the summer of 1975, the first 1000 copies mistakenly had Jagger-Richards as the songwriters. and do you know why? Roy Carr (Illustrated Record) put the error down to sheer laziness on the part of Decca who couldn't be bothered to perform even the simplest of checks. In the meantime, here's the snippet from NME at

People are panic buying! Last night at around 9.00, I popped out to two leading supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsburys), only to find that each of them were completely sold out of milk and bread! Worse than that, Liverpool's home game with Spurs was called off!

QuoteNICOS QuoteRG Quotetell.me.mr.ed A pity that The Stones never made a special chirstmas song..... ;-) Mr.Ed A pity? I am very happy, they never did! Same for me Technically, they did! Their Satanic Majesties Request was originally to have been called Cosmic Christmas and if you speed up the brief oscillating electronic snippet at the end of side one, you will hear We Wish You a M

Yes, I know Tom Petty CAN be a great live act having seen him myself supporting Dylan back in 1987 and again five years later, when he was touring the UK with Into The Great Wide Open. Pack Up The Plantation is also a fairly decent live album, as I noted earlier. It's why I own most of Petty's albums and the reason I shelled out the readies for this 4CD Box Set. I am fully aware t

Avoid!!!! Yes, this release does has it's moments, but anything remotely worth listening to on this 4 CD compilation is already included on the far-superior 1985 "Pack Up The Plantation" live album; i.e. the likes of The Waiting, Breakdown, Refugee, Insider, Southern Accents etc. The sad fact of the matter however, is that he just can't cut it as a live act, and since hi

How much of that $1 billion is he going to give to the down and out? How much for additional thoroughbred horses and vintage Corvettes?
