The Specials in Coventry will be amazing; I don't think you could pick a better supporting act for there, and they can truly put together a fantastic 45 minute slot I've seen Liam solo and he is great, he mixes up his solo stuff nicely with some key Oasis songs, Oasis songs are so ingrained into the UK music mindset that it will create a fantastic atmosphere Ashcroft should be g

I have this one; Faber went thru a period in the 90s of putting out some first rate movie & music books just about specific movies or albums, I can't tell you that much about it other than I bought it in the UK sometime in the early/mid 90s It's been packed away in a box since I moved from LA 5 years ago. sorry I can't be of more help!

This is indeed a sad, yet inevitable day. I remember the first issue of NME I ever got, it would have been Spring 1980 when I was 11 and helping my Dad work in Manchester during the Easter holidays; as a reward for helping him (he delivered bales of cotton around the dye houses of Manchester and West Yorks; even that sounds antiquated!) he took me to a newsagent on Oldham Rd and said he'd

2; Queen - Friends had tickets in 86 but there were other shows that summer I wanted to see and just couldn't afford all of them so I passed on Queen (as others have wrote about acts they missed, they played every 2 years so I figured they'd be back in 88) Sinatra - For a few years in the late 80s/early 90s, he played a handful of shows each year in London; I kept passing on them

Quoteyorkshirestone Manchester 9 our of 12 ticket types sold out on axs - fingers crossed for second date! I know OT pretty well; Looking at the sections still available I'd estimate there are no more than 5,000 tickets still available (and that's assuming 1000 for Golden circle) I'll be stunned if they don't add a second show (or that rumored Coventry show)

Can't believe how cheap the UK LD's were!! Me too. That's why I'm Lucky Dipping all 6 UK shows. I was confident there would be LDs and I was only going to LD Cardiff & Ed

Quotebrownsugar86 I'm sure it's been discussed many times before in other threads, but how much roughly do you think each of the 4 get for a show in London etc. ? After expenses. Based on other big bands, it's probably pretty close to a million each per show; if you look at gross per stadium show being 8-10m for a 50k stadium; take 25% off for promoters and another 25% off for t

Quoteandy js Quotecarouslambra Quoteandy js Give us Villa Park you bastards! Ricoh Arena is surely the more likely choice. Has hosted most concerts in the midlands over the past decade including Springsteen. True but it's not in a central hub like Birmingham and is also way smaller. I've just seen it can hold 40k for a concert. If that's the case then Villa Park, having a big

Quotetatters Quotebye bye johnny Quote35love I thought it was 1982 I was at The Who’s retirement party in MN. '82 was the "Farewell" tour. The '89 "Reunion" celebrated the band's 25th anniversary. They were also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Tommy, large chunks of which were included in the setlist. They even played it in its entirety a couple of ti

In my experience the LD option has only ever shown up on the RS tour page and ONLY a few minutes after the regular onsale has started For Vegas a couple of years ago, it popped up about 3 minutes after the regular onsale had started
