For the first time ever in a pre-sale I got a decent ticket! Having spent 30 minutes not even getting into the AXS Waiting Room I used the Ticketmaster App and after saying no to 4 tickets for London Olympic the 5th ticket I was offered was a Pit! It came up as Pita and I was so shocked it took me a few seconds to work out that I was being offered Pit A.Then I discovered that I no longer had a valid account with Ticketmaster and that the credit card they had for me was out of date. Somehow I still managed to purchase the ticket. Amazing

I have

Give us Villa Park you bastards!

Ricoh Arena is surely the more likely choice. Has hosted most concerts in the midlands over the past decade including Springsteen.

True but it's not in a central hub like Birmingham and is also way smaller. I've just seen it can hold 40k for a concert. If that's the case then Villa Park, having a bigger capacity must be able to hold nearer 50k ?

And it's associated with Coventry City smiling smiley

The variance in capacity for a concert is probably not that much between the two as Villa park has much larger stands behind the goals; so they would lose more capacity because of that when you go to a 270 set up;
my guess is for a concert the difference in capacity is less than 5k with most of that being upper tier (ie lower priced) seats

Yes, and it is seriously annoying and impacting my plans for, or ability to plan for my trip angry smiley For a time yesterday the other options came up but I too now see that they are gone and it's back to Royal Mail UK only.

edit: Seems to be restricted Royal Mail UK Only for Golden Circle tickets. If I drop down and select a less expensive ticket, I get all the mail options. But I want GC...

So it's Coventry then spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Not too bad, transport not the best and parking is slightly limited from what I can remember.

I've been to two Springsteen shows at the Ricoh. Apart from the arena parking (expensive), there's a huge retail park next door with ample parking which is normally limited to 2 hours. However if you spend £25 at one of the stores they let you stay longer - at least that was the case in 2013/2016. It wasn't widely publicised though. I bought a couple of bottles of gin in Tesco, job done.

First I've heard of it. Highly unlikely as he was in New York around that time frame. I dont recall him having any business or activity in Ireland at that time. You'd imagine if he wanted to see a Bruce show he'd have gone to one close to where he lived.

Although I do recall him attending the U2 show at the RDS that I was at in August 1993 when the Stones were recording Voodoo Lounge in Dublin.

Sounds right.

Quite a few shows there in recent years. Bruce must have liked it as he went back 3 years later

[en.wikipedia.org]

Both were weeknights, so evidently its not a problem to stage them then.

There's a hotel and a casino in the arena complex. The shopping centre is separate. There's also a dedicated railway station, but trains are only about one an hour from Coventry centre.

The arena staff were really cooperative with the pit queues - as you may know, it's first come first served at Bruce gigs and there's a fan-run system for queuing. On the afternoon of the show they moved everyone inside the building into one of the exhibition halls, which was nice as the weather wasn't great (both times!). And we were allowed to leave stuff in there and collect it after the show. So I rather like the place.

Very good. Thanks for that. Never heard a mention of that anywhere. No confirmation or photo though, but no reason to doubt the guy who saw him. One of only 3 Bruce shows in Ireland ever that I missed (the two in Kilkenny in 2013 were the others) but I did get to the second night.

Maybe he means the area just behind the pit (there was a reserved 'celeb' area in there. Bono and The Edge were in there on night 2)

Anyway, sorry to get off-topic.

Try to order tickets for Cardiff by AXS ...only possible for the UK. The other shows is possible to order for other European countries.

Anybody have the same experience?

Looks like the only option now is to go through Ticketmaster (after Premium pricing subsides) as they will let you choose int'l shipping etc.

The Lucky Dips will be will call only, so one would suppose will call will be an option if/when ordering those.

I have this for 2 tickets. I bought them without realizing the mailing option Rest Of The World hadn’t been available. Interesting - the ROTW shipping cost for the other tix is about £1 less than the ‘sign for’ UK shipping. I have emailed AXS and asked that they please process the orders, they can keep the extra £. Will see what happens...

Both have their own stock.

Ticketmaster says:

Onsale to General Public
Start: Fri 02/03/18, 09:00
Accessible Presale
Start: Tue 27/02/18, 12:00
End: Fri 02/03/18, 08:00
Amex Presale
Start: Wed 28/02/18, 09:00
End: Fri 02/03/18, 08:00
Ticketmaster Presale
Start: Thu 01/03/18, 09:00
End: Fri 02/03/18, 08:00
Platinum Presale
Start: Thu 01/03/18, 09:00
End: Fri 02/03/18, 08:00

Can't hurt to be on both websites at the same time.

Hell, I gotta run three different laptops for three different shows today - at the same time. (Now if they'd release that damn Lucky Dip info...)

Know how you feel. Seems to me that there is less clarity about these tickets than the last few tours (which of course is what they want).

OK, I've got the same problem.
And the problem also is tickets may not be received until the week of the event!
So, the only issue I found is to use Royal Mail Signed For delivery right to my hotel. It's not a problem and I do it many times before. Of course, not so comfortable as e-tickets, but this is the only way.

And about AXS support.. I've already wrot 3 (!) message at this week and still have no answer!

Was there ever a hint to a LD ticket sale today? I thought they announced it in advanced on the last tours

No announcement of LDs. Am thinking they may hold them back until after the general sale.

Looks like it. Surely we should have some info by now.

Not gonna panic today. There's tickets to be had later on if this LD thing goes south.

nice little stadium, The Richoh.

Saw Springsteen there 3-4 years ago. A good addition to the schedule.
