You are very kind AngieBlue....you are a brave Mom..I took care of Soldiers and Marines as an Army Nurse for a year over there, caring for brave sons (and daughters) probably much like your son..and consider it a great honor. When one was wounded or sadly Kia.... The very first thought was that of the mother..so Thank YOU for your sacrifice. I hope all is well with your son.... I can't belie

As a U.S. Army veteran of "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and an infrequent poster here, just had to pipe in and appreciate the support shown by some of the users, very proud of helping to support our efforts to combat Al Qaida in Iraq, as well as Afghanistan, and yes, they were in Iraq; and would do it again in a heartbeat, some may remember 9/11/01 and who wanted this fight. (KNOW this is o

Nice videos! Thank you for posting this. The Top of the Pops "Gimme Shelter", you just cannot beat it...the number one rock and roll song of the sixties IMHO!!! and you have to admit, Bill Wyman was ALWAYS Kool!!!

Does anyone know if Brian played the electric guitar on this song in the original studio version, or if it was Keith? I wonder if I hear an acoustic guitar in this song somewhere too, or am I hearing things that are not there???

These are great pix..thank you for posting these. They must be some of the last photos of the original Stones ever taken. Brian only had a little over a month left on this earth, kinda sad.

IMHO....."Paint it Black" should be somewhere on this list!!!!, especially over a "Day in the Life" which IMHO is not much of a "rock song"..... This may sound crazy, but.... IMHO... "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys has a nicer melody than "God Only Knows"...other gems like"Street Fighting Man" and "The Last Time" rock so much

LOL..I was afraid to say "Ed Sullivan" because maybe they would remove it. It seemed to take forever to see excerpts from his show of the Stones to come out on Youtube. This kind of looks a little bootleggish...but I don't know; but it's always nice to see the original Stones any way we can, especially Brian in his famous striped suit and sideburns.

I don't think he was a big fan....I remember The Rolling Stones were considered pretty SCARY in the USA back in the early sixties when they first came over,..of course us teens at the time just were in AWE!... it's kind of ironic when thinking about it how they have become so mainstream now...I mean they were REALLY baaaaaad to the bone..very exciting at the time!

Will always respect Keith (and Mick) for writing MOST of the BEST songs in rock and roll IMHO; but, Keith threw another band under the bus in his biography besides Mick, and that happened to be the original founder of their band(despite what Keith says) Brian Jones. Everyone knows Brian sure wasn't perfect, and had a lot of "issues"...but really, he was an important element in the

YEAH! These are some of the best videos of the early stones! The Mike Douglas Show, from the first two was a show lots of housewives watched and was daytime show like "Regis and Kelly", then that TAMI show in the last!...all in 1964...and all the Stones in their prime...nice to see both Brian and Keith before drugs (and alcohol) took their toll. Sorry, but I have to add that Brian was j

My very first post here and so very happy to do it on Mr. Brian Jones Birthday! Of all the discussion boards, this one, by far, not only very informative, but highly amusing as well. Like it!
