QuotePalace Revolution 2000 QuoteSleepy City Quotespsimmons Anything before Beggars Banquet. They're my most-played (with the possible exception of TSMR). Amen.It leaves me speechless when I see the pre Banquet Stones dismissed. Nothing after Goats Head Soup...a little mediocre to me after the first fantasticly creative ten years.

Annoying ..... Like the na na na na na Hey Jude thing goes on for infinity... Way overrated not even a nice melody to it and screaming by the end of the song...annnnnnoying... Another example = Yellow Submarine! Seems more Beatle examples than Stones, love those Beatles though

QuoteEdward Twining Backstreet Girl represents the Stones at their peak (especially for ballads). I know in a sense the period 1966-67 was rather muddled - the Stones jumping on the bandwagon of what was popular at the time instead of following their own instincts but if there is one aspect that i missed of the Stones when they got back on track it was this. The fact that this song really does

I won't buy it because I have heard he is merciless to his ex-bandmate Brian Jones, and I know Brian had many faults....but have read that in the beginning, Brian taught Keith some guitar skills, and also helped to teach Mick how to play the harmonica....even though Keith despises Brian, some credit must be due him at least musically IMHO....and Brian DID found the band, even STU stated it y

Brian's harmonica on FIRE again, to me, the song itself is mediocre, and the harmonica is the instrument that saves it from being less than that IMHO.

QuoteLillithFlair Quotetonterapi Quotedjohns1972 Many times I feel Brian is beaten up because a dead man can't strike back. Bingo! He did what many others did and have done since then. But he is the only one who still get shit for it. Like you say, he can't strike back and have no chance to defend himself against all the one-sided stories that has been told. *applauds* Seriously, not

Quotedjohns1972 Why is it that every time Brian Jones gets mentioned, it always degenerates into a whinge about "all those babies" he fathered? Oh that horrible boy. He had sex with all the women he could and they fell pregnant. They simply cannot write an article about him without mentioning the string of kids. Here I am on about it now, too. Pot, meet kettle....lol. Jagger didn

Quotetatters QuoteBlue Wow! That band really sounds like Ten Years After a lot. Is there a connection? I don't remember that band from the seventies, but they sound great. The original Cactus consisted of two New Yorkers; ex-Vanilla Fudge members Carmine Appice (drums) and Tim Bogert (bass), and two guys from Detroit; Rusty Day (vocals) who had been in the Amboy Dukes with Ted Nugent, and
