Rancid Radio on Fungus on XM. Great stuff! Already my favorite show. Most of the bands I haven't even heard of but I am seriously enjoying the songs.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik Love Missile on XM Radio Either the greatest band or the worst band of all time but with extremes like that, they could be one and the same.

I have never heard of that song, but based on title alone, it sounds like a contender for the greatest song of all time.

"I had one once where they only played five songs and left...I felt guilty for bringing my friends...." Actually one of my greatest dreams is to go to a Stones concert and have Mick say after a few songs "I am just not feeling anything from you guys tonight" dropping the mic and walking off. That would be the greatest Stones show ever!

My nightmares are usually where I am outside the venue right before showtime and suddenly develop leaden legs and just can't move fast enough to make it inside.

As with most songs the Stones play I don't think how the song work depended so much on the venue as with the band itself. I think it sounded great earlier in the tour but got boring as it progressed as the band no longer gave it the same sort of kick and attitude the song needed to work. Thankfully they dropped it by the time they played Dodger Stadium though I thought it was a great song ea

Not sure how it works for it works for the Stones but usually hired hands get paid either per gig or per week, since often promo appearances etc are made in addition to the usual live concert appearances. For a little insight on how this works, Andy Gibb wrote a great book called "Neighborhood Threat" about his tour with Iggy Pop in 1988. In addition to salaries, musicians and crew are

I would like to find Kim Deal's home but last I heard she lived in East L.A. (!!!) and I don't think I want to take the bus there and start wandering the 'hood looking for her.

Of course. But I have been sick almost a month (mostly due to burning the candles at both ends for a few weeks and drinking heavily to numb the symptoms), and still haven't called in sick. Don't think I have in about 3 years.

"Sticks and Stones may break my bones but anything said by some moron named dan can never hurt me. Still doesn't change the fact you have no ear for music." I don't think some dumbass named Frank would know the first thing about my ears but keep enjoying that generic already dated disc and I will stick with the timeless stuff from they still had an edge.

"What is this a ticket buying contest? If you think Voodoo Lounge was a bad album then yes in my opinion you have no ear for music. Why would you go see them thirty times anyway if they are old geezers as you put it?" Around here it's a term of affection. "No Dan actually I'm saying you suck not the Stones." Right back atcha polesmoker.

"love the dolls, saw em in nj last year.great show, but not even in the same leauge as stones." Nah but even a mediocre band in a club is usually better than the greatest band in an arena or stadium. Actually the Dolls sound like more of a rock n roll band than the Stones and I would even put the first Dolls album head and shoulders above... Well I think I will just stop right there!

"Dan; you can knock Voodoo Lounge if you want but it was a great achievement for a band that had been around thirty plus years at the time of it's release. Went double platinum, won the grammy for best rock album and topped the charts in the Uk. Also had four top forty hits in the Uk. It's not a good album because DAN doesn't like it?" It was alright, I don't even

I would take Sabbath over Led Zeppelin any day. The boot to look for is Asbury Park 1975. Nice setlist but real jammy with a lot of improvs. A lot of unique stuff that can't be found on anything else. "when Ozzy's decline was apparent," Has there ever been a longer decline? I am also looking forward to "Heaven And Hell" next year which is the Dio era lineup to

"There is no guarantee that U2 will put out anything as good as Voodoo Lounge" Doesn't sound too difficult to be honest. For any band that is. "Well, the Stones ticket prices are much higher...which I hope U2 doesn't follow suit... U2 tix are generally speaking $50 for floor (G/A), $170 for lower level and $100 for upper level. " In The U.S., Stones arena t

" am more worried about who is going to follow Prince, Springsteen and U2, those are almost the last big time guys that have that rock and roll blood in them. " That's something to worry about? From my POV there is very little rock and roll blood in arenas and stadiums. Personally the classic rock acts dying out may be bad for the concert industry if you are a promotor but might

"Having been to both Stones shows in Oz this year, I saw U2 last week in Melb and they were boring, I couldn't connect with the show at all and the political messages were getting a bit tiresome. Big difference in Bono's ability to keep a crowd on its feet compared to Jagger - no contest with Jagger & the Stones miles ahead of anyone else. " The crowd stays on it's
