I have two copies. I place a corrugated cardboard shipping panel on the front side when I put them in the poly sleeve. My copy of Exile does have 30+ year old impressions on it however.

Live Licks was a cobbled together POS dashed off in a hurry when it became obvious to the record company that the new album (that would become A Bigger Bang the following summer) would not be ready for the fourth quarter (holiday) sales season. The cover, for example, is merely a grainy shot of the HTW stage video from the prior year rather than the package having a specially created theme as do

They were on a tear that tour obviously enjoying themselves as it was actually just an extension of Bridges until they could get back to Europe. Remember they postponed Euro dates for some tax or economic reasons. I was both nights in DC and Detroit and thoroughly enjoyed them all.

I saw them do it in Detroit in '15 and it was a little sad. Like everything they played it with tremendous competence but Imagination used to be the song where Keith and Woody would get into each others faces and keep digging and digging to take the groove higher and high and thus demonstrate their totally unique interplay. The art of weaving if you will. That night in Detroit Keith just

WOW! I was there for the second night. We traveled on a chartered bus from Western Michigan. It took forever. When we left it was hot and dry but by the time we got around the lake to Alpine Valley it was cold and rainy. It took forever to get back home too. All in all a 24 hour undertaking. What was particularly cool was they crammed as much of the Steels Wheels stage into that shed as they c

I saw them last night. They're playing essentially the same show as the last several years with the addition of a "New Frontier" and the Becker solo song. They have yet to alter the stage diagram so there's a big empty spot where Becker and his rig used to stand.

Quotexke38 Tragic. No doubt the NRA will come up with some other absurd argument in favour of gun proliferation though. The gunman used an automatic weapon. A machine gun. They've been totally illegal in the US since 1934.

I've been agitating for Sympathy as the opener for years. "Pleased to meet you..." I mean come on it's a natural. PLUS its spot near the end of the set drags down the show because everybody knows what's going to happen.

The quality and design of Stones souvenir wearables has declined steadily in recent years even as the prices have reached astronomical heights. The No Filter designs are the worst of all. Absolutely hideous.

27 songs and several special effects later dropped (the guys on stilts, etc). EVERYONE (band and audience) was exhausted when it was over. They played stuff from Voodoo that didn't make it past those opening shows. "Brand New Car" if memory serves. It was incredible but a little shaky. I saw them less than a month later in East Lansing and Mick walked on instead of popping through

I saw The Who this past Tuesday. Despite Daltrey feeling ill (show staff tried to get him a doctor) he soldiered on and gave the best performance I've seen him do in the last twenty years. It was like he'd sold his soul to devil to get his voice back. Strong, accurate and powerful. Nothing off key or cracking. I'm guessing I'll never see them again and if so this was definitel

I have two excellent seats for his August show near Detroit that I want to SELL. Ticketmaster isn't allowing the resale option which usually means the show is doing subpar business. No one else wants to sit through a lip synched political harangue either, apparently.

HIT AND RUN BOOTLEGGERS! Total crap, especially the sweatpants. I wouldn't buy these designs on the streets and I often prefer bootlegs. They're more...rock and roll.

Typically, in the US, he or she acts with "no filter" is an expression we ascribe to outrageously outspoken elderly people who seem to simply say whatever's on their minds. More than apropos in describing the Stones I think.

No. The European tour follows exactly the same template the Stones have been using since 2014. A hand full of cities (relatively speaking to the old days) within the same continent playing outdoors on the big stage to as many people as possible. The whole endeavor planned in a six month time frame. 13-14 shows and out and if they feel like it, repeat the pattern elsewhere 6-8 months later. Put

I loved J Geils Band mightily. Saw them in '72 a few months after Full House was recorded and probably two dozen times since (including with the Stones, Cleveland '75) up through a couple years ago sans Jay. They were a part my DNA. So much so they didn't FEEL right after Geils retired in 2012. Other guitarists overplayed his parts and while the band sounded 'right' the g
