QuoteThe Sicilian I hope he adds a Buffalo date. I'm surprised he isn't doing any stadium shows. If he follows his previous patterns he'll do arenas in the US, the go elsewhere the world and then back to the US in summer 2018 to do stadiums and secondary market arenas in tandem.

We've been through this. A sizable number of sales of "Blue & Lonesome" will come from downloads ergo the "album" art needs to function at roughly 1 inch square or less. The blue tongue succeeds famously. It is instantly recognizable as the band (tongue logo) and the product (blues album). Don't get me wrong. If I were the art director on this project I

"Just Your Fool" is a nearly note-for-note remake of the Little Walter original right down to the awkward cold start. Walter played a better harp than Mick, however. Here for yourselves:

I've had three SACD players, all Marantz. Never had a problem with any SACD. I bought the original player specifically for the 2002 reissues.

The version in Chicago was better. Keith nailed the opening riff perfectly and it went uphill from there.

The German Hot Rocks has some kind of "wide" stereo version of "Satisfaction." That may be it. I too heard a version on the radio with acoustic guitars very prevalent. This was over 25 years ago and I even called the radio station. By then they were starting to play everything on preloaded cartridges so they were unsure of the source.

Chuck brought organization to the chaos. He is the "musical director" of the Rolling Stones whether the stalwart fans here wish to admit it or not. He and Mick pick the setlists and arrangements and sweat over the detailia. He's the conduit between Mick and the band so they don't have to deal with each other. You need only read Ronnie's description of Chuck's positio

Tommy Clufetos didn't used to look like he does in this tour. THey've had him grow his hair and mustache, put a headband, wifebeater t-shirt and gold medallion on him and, OLA!, he looks like Bill Ward circa 1975!

I SAW IT in suburban Detroit last winter and again last night. Tony and Geezer are spectacular. The shows I saw Ozzie was on a short leash and singing almost perfectly while keeping his antics to a minimum. I have heard tapes from THE END TOUR where this was not the case however. The effects, video and lighting are fabulous. They have chosen to go out on a high note (and I do mean high). Don&#

I forgot to mention that in my research I did find the covers were printed on three different types of matte card stock. Two that were rough hewn and the other slightly textured and a tiny bit shiny. The positive background logo version with the higher placement of the "free" box is the latter.

Quote1963luca0 Generally speaking, the US covers are made of cartoon onto which the sheet is glued, with flip-backs covered by the sheet of the rear cover. For this reason, small differences may show-up, depending on the precision of the sticking process. As I noted, and the photos confirm, the placement of graphic elements between the two versions are measurably and markedly different. Not th

Finally - On the positive logo version the box promoting the "FREE full color poster" sits over an inch above the bottom of the jacket while the other version the box is about 3/16" from the bottom. The box and type therein are otherwise identical. Note Brian's sleeve and elbow occupy two different parts of the box. This is NOT a matter of the same print being offset when it g

Secondly - the bottom right of the positive LONDON logo version has the serial number and "MONO" printed there while the other version does not. Is it possible the version without "MONO" is earlier as MONO vs. STEREO was scarcely an issue in 1964?

I've been fascinated by the discussions of the forthcoming Stones MONO box sets and it prompted me to get out a couple of my original LONDON pressings. When I did I discovered an oddity about the cover graphics of two different copies of the same album. The labels are the same maroon unboxed LONDON, "made in the USA," and the stamped matrix numbers are the same on both LPs. The cov

Trump is a tedious blowhard but as to the world's problems (and those of the US) his fingerprints are on exactly NONE OF IT. He has had nothing to do with our current state of affairs (unless you count the dumbing down of the culture via his TV show). Trump's opponent cannot say anything such thing. The idea of his opponent and her globalist cabal running the US government is unte

The two worst I ever saw was Spin Doctors ('94) and Three Doors Down ('97). Awolnation was pretty lame too but the wives loved Walk On The Moon. Both last year. Apparently, they recognized the hits. Living Colour opened every '89 show I saw and I have yet to find a memorable hook in their music. The Strokes were overblown as was Ryan Adams ('99), Maroon Five ('05) and Len

I was awarded 17 pairs of free tickets and roughly an equal number of discounts. So far the only show on "the list" I would consider is the Gregg Allman casino revue performing at a venue six hours from my home. So far the qualifying events are sh-t, for the most part, and in limited areas of the country.
