it's an impulse item at starbucks...get your grande house blend and perhaps pick up the new stones disc...hmmm couple of tunes i remember and like so sure i'll take this, my coffee, get into my car and pop my impulse item into the cd player...it's just that simple...bigger bang is available at starbucks where is the outcry over that?

on the 69 tour keith was trying to channel chuck berry and jimmie reed on stage every night... on the 72 tour keith was dodging photographers and trying to deal certain addictions... the 69 tour vibe was the return of rock and roll the 72 tour vibe was how can i meet mick the 69 tour was the boys going back out and proving to the world that they were indeed a great rock and r

ghs does have a thin sound to it...still, heartbreaker, silver train, and that section in 100 yrs. ago where charlie drums kick it into overdrive and then i assume a nice wah wah drenched guitar fill, are great tunes when played real loud...i like the lyrics to winter... some of micks best

a twist of irony, in the women we love issue of esquire, mr. keith is in the what i've learned section...nice little dittys about chuck berry, drugs, and smoking pot with his daughters...now that would be something...

as a whole sticky has all the bases covered, rock, blues, country, but i look at two songs off of each album that show that the stones not afraid to tackle anything...sweet black angel with its' revolutionary lyrics refering to angela davis and its' reggae calypso feel it is almost a contridiction within itself as the melody is drifting along and yet mick is singing of gun totting sch

the chili peppers just seem like they are having too much fun on their records, when everyone knows that they are one of LA's darker bands...bloodsugarsexmagik is a great album(save under the bridge) mothers milk with its' hyperactive version of hendrix's fire, hillel slovek was also a great guitarist(RIP)...frusciante just fits the mold, he's spacey enough yet can play the

i have always wanted to write a novel that has a really good rock and roll flavor, but have been unable to come up with a decent idea...until today...here's a brief outline 1967, california, a music festival has just taken place and two of the musicians are now in a hotel room...one is a blonde haired british guitar player for a popular band, the other is a about to burst left handed

i've never heard a disco song played with such slashing guitar work, but there is a first for everything...i think that undercover works well live, from the bootlegs that i've heard...as i've said before undercover is one of my top five albums from the boys because it changes directions so many times. while some may complain that the sound is too slick it is definitly rawer(sp?) t

been listening to the new album in bits and pieces, to absorb it more easily and i think that the centerpiece is really back of my hand...if anything this is mick's tour de force with him covering almost every instrument, vocals, and playing some real tasty blues. i went and put back of my hand with break the spell and what a great pair of songs. this would be some thing nice it they c

it seems that everyone has touched upon the standards... joe strummer and mick jones- punk's answer to mick and keith, the first three clash album rock out bob weir- next to keith one of the best rythmn players out there...he fills in the empty spaces left by garcia quite nicely, plus learned to play a decent slide guitar during the seventies and eighties... rich robinson- another

well, i suppose jeffreson airplane with white rabbit or the grateful dead with dark star would take on the personfication of the era, to an extent...i always thought that paint it black was psychedelicish...i don't think that the doors were in this group...if anything they were the darker side of what psychedelia was all about...though there was an interesting piece about george harrison go

i've always liked the album myself, not really a bad tune on there...i was playing it one time and my nieces were over the house, they started dancing to flip the switch and too tight...these are girls that like green day, nelly, 50 cent, and blink 182...it was nice to see that the boys still put out a dancable beat to the teenage ears...i dance to it all the time, what the hell

the boys made a nice little start off story in rolling stone...two decent pics and pretty much talk of the album and tour...there is also a nice bo diddley piece....coldplay is on the cover and there is no mention of the stones but there they are....whether you like rolling stone or not, it is always good to see the bpys in print...

i think that the instalive would be great...i have a couple from the allmans and the sound is crisp and clear...regardless of if it gets ripped at $25.00 a copy and X amount of people line up for their copy, there is some decent coin to be made...there are some places that don't allow insta, such as the beacon in nyc, something to do with unions...the boys couple play there and release that

saw t.p. last month and it was all right...it seems that he has fallen into the trap of playing war horses...though he did play to new songs that were fantastic and a decent deep cut from wildflowers but the rest of the show was devoted to songs you hear six hundred times on the radio...plus it seemed as though mike campbell was holding back and if there is anyone out there who has seen mike on
