This was an excellent audience to start. The harmonics have been hyped a bit; a mid/side EQ scheme was employed to fattened the middle and added and edge to the sides. The stereo width was also incraesed with multi-band imaging and this was mixed much louder than the original recording through the loudness maximizer in Ozone 5 advance.
The net result is that the drums sound more crisp, the piano is more audible and the guitars are more cutting than the Crystal Cat version. It sounds nice when played through a stereo but might be a bit of a fatiguing listen with headphones (because of the loudness and harmonic excitation).

2003.08.16 Music Center, Utrecht, NL [DSP Mix]
sourced from Morph 28This is a DSP remix of 'Hand Of Fate" [Morph 28]. The source was dull and distant sounding. Sister Morphine productions are some of the most inconsistent releases I've ever come across. They range from brilliantly & carefully mixed (Timeless Europe) to the likes of this source. One thing all Morph productions have in common is they're mixed very loud, which makes it difficult to add anything to the mix. Because this mix had a dull sound, the Morph engineer who originally mixed it should've left some room for the individual listener to add EQ settings -- since most EQ presets add more than subtract from the overall dB.
This remix is admittedly rendered loud (just a 0.1 margin or 98.86% of full dynamic range), but it has more clarity than the source. And those of you that find the sound is too sharp, just apply a gentle cut between 6-10KHz on your EQ settings.
