(REALLY) LOVE YOU LIVE! VOL. 2
LIVE TRACKS FROM 1975-77

01 You Gotta Move [LA 7-13-75]
02 You Can't Always Get What You Want [LA 7-10-75]
03 Happy [Paris 6-9-76]
04 It's Only Rock n Roll [Paris 6-7-76]
05 Fingerprint File [Toronto 6-17-75]
06 Dance Little Sister [Toronto 3-5-77]
07 Little Red Rooster [Toronto 3-4-77]
08 Midnight Rambler [Paris 6-7-76]
09 Brown Sugar [Paris 6-6-76]
10 Rip This Joint [LA 7-9-75]
11 Street Fighting Man [LA 7-13-75]
12 Jumping Jack Flash [LA 7-13-75]
13 Sympathy For The Devil [LA 7-13-75]

All tracks were either taken from my previous DSP mixes or remastered exclusively for this project.

I know some of you have your 2 cents about which tracks do/don't belong on here. So let's do another volume. Put some suggestions here --> Alternate LYL

Download RLYL vol.2 -> RLYL - vol. 2

UPDATE: The version of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" in the archive above suffers greatly from noise reduction. I meant to apply it to the crowd portion only (not the music) but somehow ended up ruining the whole song. It sounds like ass and I've re-uploaded the original mix prior to the reduction. Sorry for the inconvenience

download here -> RLYL - Vol. 2 - 02 YCAGWYW (no noise redux)

The DAC release was balanced but a little dull sounding. Ozotope Alloy + Ozotope Ozone were used to give it some sparkle and final edits were done in Goldwave.

Thanks Paul. "Dance Little Sister" was pretty much good-to-go on the IMP release. All I did was light de-clicking and a little harmonic excitation. Glad it sounds good on your Bose system though.

Got to confess that I've never downloaded anything from Laughingsam before - and that I have hardly ever downloaded anything at all, from "iorr".

Don't like "remasters" - as they nearly always let me down, the real source are nearly in all cases the best source. But I'll grab Pittsburgh 1972 for a starter, thanks to Munichhilton's suggestion......thanks for your work.

The master is ALWAYS better, but in many cases the remaster is more listenable.

I keep all the masters because there's no such thing as a definitive remaster.

Hey I do really like your work on Pittsburgh 1972 - thanks again

Agree to your words. That's why I keep the masters, as well.

Thanks for all the remasters--would appreciate your printing the info file here. (I don't need it for Cologne or Paris Outtakes, but would appreciate the info file for other remasters in the future.)

Just Added:
1975.07.15 Cow Palace, S.F., CA [DSP Remaster]
sourced from VGP-36/37

The above artwork was uploaded in FULL SIZE into the archive.

re: Smokey, I'm not sure what you mean by info file. Other than the source, what are you interested in reading prior to downloading? This latest post doesn't even have any notes...just artwork and FLAC files.

Laughingsam,
Thanks for the follow up.
Yes, I am referring to the notes:

Quote

DAC-70 was in mono. Multi-band stereo imaging was used to render this mix in (sim) stereo. EQ, multi-band dynamics and harmonics were also applied to balance the sound.
The mix was processed in Izotope Ozone 4 and then (soft) compressed in Goldwave 5.58.
I left a lot of space on this mix (i.e. loudness isn't maximized) so others can add their own edits if desirable.
DAC-70 included 12 seconds of "Let It Rock". The track has been omitted.

I'm not asking for them to be written, but, if they are written, I'd appreciate your posting the notes in the update page as well.

Many thanks yet again.

Thanks for this and the Paris Outtakes. I think the original Wembley might have a more warm/natural feel to it perhaps?

Is Hampton 81 a show you are considering working on or does it not need doing? I think a few of 1981 SBs would benefit from your work as they can be muddy and dull.

wait wait my friends,,,,about 1981 mono/dull sbd´s..i will do another round for them considering "remastering",after that its all yours sam,i can get sound MUCH clearer, but they need something else too,and i leave that to expertsdrinking smiley

Re: Marko, 1981 sounds great to me. I did one of your Philadelphia remasters from that tour and liked the way it turned out.

Re: Paul, I wouldn't start with Hampton because it's already a great recording.
Sorry you didn't like the Wembley. I thought the original lacked clarity, sounded dull, and had an over-powering bass rumble.

Leaving sound aside though, do you think this Wembley runs at the correct speed or a tad too slow?

Hey Sam, I wouldn't say I didn't like it. Just listened to it side by side with the original and the original just had a slightly more warm natural sound to it. I guess something has to give in creating a different mix. Just my opinion of course and definately not a crititism thumbs up

The speed seems ok to me. Do you feel its too slow?

A 'complete Still Life' could be on the cards....? >grinning smiley<

It's cool Paul. I appreciate your candor.

A "Still Life" alternate would be great. Although we already have the "Black Limousine" and "Ride Like The Wind" compilations. I don't see the harm in adding another one to the mix.

Yes you could add songs from Phoenix, and from BOTH Pontiac shows to get an alternate still life.

Have you done a complete show in stereo merge? I've heard some of the other songs you've shared and it sounds like you have the process down pretty good.

Sounds like there are some synch issues on there. What are the sources you're using?

And is your goal to create a 2-source stereo merge with source 1 in the left and source 2 in the right?
