I still think all the ticket pricing will have to be sorted out very carefully. After our american friends have been, let's say, overcharged, either they stick to the rip off in Europe or they create an iorr transatlantic war.
It's easy to throw some city names to suggest locations, but honestly, how many people in Spain, Italy or Hungary are willing to spend 400 or 500€ for a stones concert? Even in the richer countries, my impression is that there is a general education for saving money and not waste it (that's why they are rich, anyway ). All Europe will continue in a big recession towards the end of the year. Spanish unemployment rate will reach something like 28%. It's not dark yet, but it's gettin there...
Yep! If they try to sell tickets with such ticket prices like in die US they will have a pretty desaster.
Agree, no way local promotors here in Europe will agree to their demands after the USA fiasco...275€ should be the max ticket price (apart from some VIP shite)
Sounds about right, recent pricing at Bercy :
The Who : €62 to €139
Fleetwood Mac : €51 to €89.50
Celine Dion : €79 to €205
Leonard Cohen : €67.50 to €177.50
McCartney 2009 : €82 to €160
McCartney 2011 : €67.50 to €122.50 (wonder why the price went down...)
Anyway, I don't think the Stones will be able to charge more than €250 for top seats, maybe €300 for the Tongue Pit...

to my knowledge there will be the VIP Thing again like it was in the US, because the Lady who handled the ticketing and Controlling at the prefered entrance told us that there are talks in October/November for Shows.
the Prices for McCartney have been much higher in Germany and Switzerland for sure. And we had that discussion beforre. It is Paul times 4 which makes the ticket Prices to 255 to 680 Euro.
Don't expect any sensibility of ticketprices once the Shows are announced. However stay tuned and a lot of you will receive wonderul tickets at very good Prices.
The ones however who would like to ensure their place/seat/pit front will pay loads like in the US.

You can also write to [www.google.fi] just: "euros to dollars" and it tells you immediately that 1 euro is about 1.3 dollars.
Google can do a lot of things...

If there will be a show in my home city I am personally ready to pay 600 euros for tongue pit seat even though there would be a possibility to get a good seat for 200 euros. I think even for 600 euros it would be hard to get that tongue pit seat, at least I hope there will be Amex presale!

i'd pay max 120 euros, which is more or less like 3 black crowes and 4 gov't mule gigs.

paul two weeks ago in vienna. 70 euros. you could get tickets for 60 from his own website. the usual seats were around 100 to 120 euros. the vip packages were much higher, yes, but that´s just golden circle, all the others were normal prices...
