who said anything about LA75, Atlantic City & Brixton ?? or did i miss something ?

Richard

Nobody said anything about those shows. So far it's Hampton. The rest lied in the cards. We can hope though.

Atlantic City 89
Tokyo 90
Brixton, Olympia and Paradiso 95
Phoenix Club gig 05
Leeds 82
Seattle 81
Paris 76
Tokyo 95
There's Argentinian and Brazillian shows floating around too.

There's tonnes of possibilities. Mostly from the Woody years though.
yes but who would refuse a Brussels'73 DVD ?
that would be great too !
unfortunately, I think it has not been filmed right ?

Nice, but this has been released officialy already, at least the audio, as part of the bootleg-series ... I don´t care much about the video ... But let´s see, what the further releases will bring us ...

Parts of Brussels '73 were filmed. The only hope we have is the London '73 shows filmed by the BBC. That would be the holy grail for me.

“From The Vault” is a new series of live concerts from The Rolling Stones archive which are getting their first official release. “Hampton Coliseum – Live In 1981” is the first title in this series.

Awesome! Hope the rest will include some cool stuff from the '63-'73 time frame (especially '67-'73) and not just a dozen shows from the Ronnie Wood era.

is this recent news, or from 2013........
please let me know.
thanks
jeroen

This is promising news. But I'm waiting for the more rare/special stuff. Like most of us here I'm familiar with this one. Bought all the unofficial copies through the years and also had the live VHS taped from TV a long time ago. Still it will be nice to see in Bluray quality. Wonder what and when the next one will be. This is kind of like the 6 audio boots they released.

I'm hoping for Knebworth 76!

I've read that the audio tracks for Knebworth were damaged, which rendered a possible live LP and TV special useless.

You just hope and pray that the dull Voodoo Lounge VHS isn't being cleaned up for a 2015 release ;-)

Anything decent from 73 would be nice. For me the Birmingham odeon 73 would be fantastic, but i know the chances are very remote thou.
Knebworth and leeds would also be very welcomed for me.

Throwaway shows aka stadium gig are not preseved for posterity imo. Only club-gigs or "special" shows are given the "fim crew" treatment.

I was at the Aragon and did not see any cameras on or near the stage. The only footage that exists is what CBS cameras shot for "60 Minutes" which appears to be just of a few songs.

TV broadcast with a very untraditional sound mix...

There are of course complete concerts filmed that will be welcome, ala LA '75, but I hope they don't get hung up on this. If they have really cool bits and pieces of concerts, like Brussels, I'd love to see them.

Unfortunately, the Stones kinda showed us that they didn't have pro-shot video of the show they released in the Vault series - the show they made YT-videos of was way inferior to the LA Friday official release sad smiley

I have a friend who works for Eagle Rock who told me a couple of years ago that they had signed a long term deal with the Stones to release two shows a year... these are the ones he mentioned that jump out at me the most, in no particular order...a three or four DVD set of the Stripped concerts in London, Paris and Amsterdam...the 1999 San Jose No Security U.S. tour finale, originally scheduled to be shown on Showtime but withdrawn...Shepherd's Bush '99 with some excellent rarities...the Licks tour theater shows...he swore up and down that they have an excellent print of the LA Friday '75 show...I don't know about you but the possibilities make my head spin!winking smiley

All of that is nice, but I wonder what's really out there and still exists in a showable way. Like the '67 European tour. Is there footage and sound that could be synced up? Were there stereo radio broadcasts in Europe of Stones concerts back then? In Jazz it was quite common to do so in the late 50s onward, and film and soundtrack have been melded into some marvelous results. Of course there could have been some idiocy, like the supposed footage from NME '68 being taped over. I'll bet Wyman would have some interesting things to say about this.

Great! But which LA Friday-show? Because they didn't show a second of the one they released the audio of - they did with the other releases.

Would be a BIG surprise if Jagger had a pro-shot vid of a L.A.'75 show that's not the Friday (11th) night one...

Yep, but the show they promoted the archive release with was a different show? And not a pro-shot vid.

The Marquee '71 and Montreaux '72 rehearsals are part of the Sticky Fingers Deluxe boxset. He also told me that there is NO complete video of the El Mocambo shows...sad smiley
