Eagle Rock is going to release the Hampton Roads DVD on its own without vinyl and the guitar pick...I think it'll be in June.

Maybe we could get it in widescreen ?
If they don't make it in blu ray, I'm not sure we can expect better than the Jointrip DVD version.
Yet they did it for Ladies and Gentlemen which is from 1972.Quote

You can't make a blu ray out of a 30 year old videotape

I don't think they can really do anything to make the picture superior to a DVD, but the audio is supposed to be superior on Blu Ray. That would be the only difference. I haven't really noticed a lot of difference in audio since I got Blu Ray, other than it being a lot louder.

Don't know how they exactly did for Ladies and Gentlemen but they managed to improve the picture quality on the blu ray version compared to the dvd one.

Ladies and Gentlemen wasn`t shot on video but on tape. that is the big difference
Does it mean that at that time (1981), they already replaced tape by video ?Quote

Huge difference. L&G was filmed with motion picture cameras and equipment. Not with TV broadcasting video equipment.
Same way they restored Elvis Live 1972.
