Class 2 warning. Temperatures higher than 30 C (86 F) several days in a row. Tropical nights (not below 20 C (68 F) during nights). Seems like a change is coming though. Still waiting for the thunderstorm...

I don't know if it's the greenhouse effect or what. But this winter is unusually mild. I guess we are looking forward to a warm and snow-free Christmas. And I live in northern Sweden (Norrland), not exactly Florida...
Can always count on Canada to be cold and snowy come December (living in Ottawa/Toronto). In fact, pretty sure it has snowed more here in December in the last two years than it has since I was in elementary school.
-11 C and plenty of snow this Christmas Eve (we call it julafton) here in northern Sweden. Just what we wanted - a white Christmas! Off to see Santa now. God Jul (Merry Christmas) to all IORR:ers, longtimers or newcomers!
It's 12C at 8 pm in Florence, Italy, and clear, so really lovely weather for Christmas Eve. But next week it is going down to 4C max and I am so hoping for snow.
From what I've been reading the Polar Vortex is making a return to North America next week but staying way north, not dropping way down to the mid US like it did this year (2014).
Northern US (Maine) is very cold at the moment, -7 (F) on the way into work this morning, and colder weather coming tomorrow, supposedly. Nothing we haven't seen before, but it came on suddenly, with a 40+ degree drop in less than 24 hours. It was 39 (F) on my way into work yesterday!
Thoughts are with those dealing with fires and drought on the other side of the planet and elsewhere. People love to complain about the weather where I live, but we have very little to deal with in terms of natural disaster. Just the occasional winter storm that knocks out power, really, and sometimes uncomfortable cold this time of year. All my best to those under far worse circumstances.
