i think to compare SSMC to IGW and OOF for the iterativity of the chorus is a good point but I do think SSMC gains groove and swagger from it while IGW and OOC are weakened by it Why? Don't know i think most of it is a matter of taste of course but one reason can be for me that SSMC is more of a punkish beat and the focus is much more on the groove. the simple structure in this context

well i don't know about radio stations in the us, here in italy you still have to be on the radio and on tv to sell... what? well the point of delivering music digitally has more to do with the (poorer and poorer) sales of cd singles than to the promotion via FM radio... maybe this is another thing we'll find out tomorrow > that is, how they're going to release the new

"Singles get released to radio stations WEEKS in advance of their release date, aimed at securing advance orders and as high a chart entry in the week of release as possible." that's it gazza that is what i meant, tomorrow they play it, wed or at least by the end of the week they release it to radio stations... uh at least i think it sounds possible maybe it is likely

"Why is everyone thinking they are going to play live at the press conference? This is NOT going to happen! ..." well, as waaghal said darryl in = live act he won't be there to stand in front of the press while music samples are pumped out of the speakers, that make no sense doug seems pretty positive about that Darryl will be there and Chuck won't... so,

rank is right gr is right this is just rg's brother's delusion give me the bootleg (there's plenty of those sessions so it must be veeeery unfortunate if just that jam has gone amiss) and i'll believe that until then, the only reason that i can think of why someone should believe that bs is: well, i have to prove rolling stones ended as a band after the leaving of mick tay

i think it is likely they will air soundbits of the new single or even more as they did for b2b (ASMB + FTS) i think it would be f*****g great if they would play it in a 15minutes gig along with another new song and, uh BS or JJF or SMU... i don't think these is very likely the point of not being in the stores is...pointless as we know that we're gonna find it somewhere, somehow

Chelsea i think you nailed it and more, not even they were so unkind to media and press (i.e. common people opinion) not to be, literally, dead and gone, but were so rude they did not put up some glasses on, change haircut, act like "mature rock intellectual prophets with an art message" (i'm thinking of lou reed right now), instead they keep on rock and rolling and, how baffling

here we go again, davido and hairball. i agree with you, in fact here and elsewhere i posted miy views of what should be the direction M&K should take not to revive the past or being up to date but to renew their creativity if there's any anymore (in terms of musicians playing or not playing with them, producer saying far toomany yeeees men, etc) but the point on this thread is not th

and uh i don't like the b-stage very much IORR is average as it has been worn out and played as a staight chuck's cover, when the whip is noisy but messy and they miss the changes in rhythm that is its force. BS, well, here we are OPen-g, i adore to be entertained with brown sugar and always will, i don't give e fuc# about mistakes or flaws, because i know what it means to be there

"I have loved this band since I first heard "Jumping Jack Flash" in 1968 and when I criticise them, rather than blindly adore and proclaim that they can do no wrong as some here often do, it's because I DO love the band and expect great things from them because I know they are capable of producing great music and performances, which seem to have been lacking in the last few to

me myself i thank the gods of r'n'r that they recorded hot stuff, hand of fate, shattered, miss you, when the whip, beast of burden, emotional rescue, dance, let me go, start me up, hang fire, black limo, slave, pretty beat up, ...etc up to thief in the night i won't change a nostalgic reverie for a past that "was" and a future that would have been for the reality - with

country honk, you finally got open-g point.... another player, a virtuoso player as there were many around in the seventies, that got in the band in 75, a new album, entitled something like "Time waits no word" or "Dark slide of the moron" or "In the court of the vibrato king", and that's it a farewell tour in 78 a reunion tour in 95 a farewell we swear tou

i completely agree with kahoosier and especially with the bowie/ronson comparison though i like the berlin era and some of of the late 70's early 80's things of the duke (lodger, scary monsters) i still remain fond of the early seventies bowie (that i think is common and reasonable) and for that i can call myself a bowie's fan then, it never occured to me to sign in his fanclub

oh yes but there's more. Have you seen the movie The Agronomist by Jonathan Demme, a biopic on the life of a well known haitian journalist shot dead in 2000? Well i'm surprise that you - Open G - have not noticed the fact that Ronnie is clearly visibile while he run away from the crime scene in the first images caught by the camera after the homicide. You will notice that three men r

what's beautiful in songs like winter or time waits for no one? i can't hear it, sorry. Sure sway, CYHMK, shine a light, etc i understand and i can clearly see MT specific contribution there, but then i agree with who said that had they followed MT's spin in IOrR they would have become a pseudoprog band the fact that you (MCD) quote Almost hear you "sigh" as something

hound dog and monkey man made the point more over most songs on sf and eoms came from late 60's sessions... and what about GHS and IORR that are the only two whole records of the Taylor era? i personally like very much IORR and think that GHS is one of their weaker albums ever. It is certainly their weaker of the seventies well it is also the only record that can be said to be
