Both are great, but Charlie wins as the one and only true drummer for the Rolling Stones. After all, Charlie was their drummer for 58 years (!) both studio and live, while Steve has only a couple of years under his belt in a live setting as a fill-in.

QuoteGerardHennessy Quotepowerage78 We will see... Travelling and touring, of course, but but some people here talk about them as if they were 25 years old and as they had never had any health issues , it's quite fascinating... Well said. We will indeed see. I love all the postings each saying what the writer thinks the band will/should do. And all of this before ANY tour is announced.

Thanks for the review. I have tickets to see him with my wife at the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara on Oct. 9th - right near the front! He's always been a class act, and his musical history goes WAY back. Great singer, great songwriter, great photographer, etc., etc., etc.

Quotefirebird Talking only about the visuals here, not the music. "Lazy" is what comes to my mind when i watch the video. Have the Stones done anything else on it other than to approve the concept and the final result? I have my doubts. The only idea was to put archive footage on billboards and the car ride is only there cause something was needed to connect the different billboards

Quotestanlove People who really like this song were going to like anything the Stones released just because it’s the Stones, 5 years from now everyone will admit that they have not bothered to play this song in about 5 years. Still can’t get the point of pushing this media blitz and then not releasing album for 6 weeks. You could be right, but then again it could be the opposite - maybe the

I think the shattered diamond tongue by itself is decent and might have been enough for a nice cover, but some of the other concepts and designs we've seen are a bit overkill imo. The smashing fist, the stabbing knife, the multiple tongue and eyes....all a bit too busy, sterilized, and artificial, and really no heart and soul with all the computerized graphic designs. Hopefully some of th

From the BBC article: Hackney Diamonds From Keith: "Ever since Charlie's gone, it's been different, he's number four. Of course he's missed." That is poignant, and we will never forget number four! And from Mick: "I don't want to be big headed but we wouldn't have put this album out if we hadn't really liked it. We said we had to mak

Song was decent pop rock - better than Don't Stop for sure, but not as good as Living in a Ghost Town. Video was good, but usually I don't watch videos, though this one I might a couple more times. Excited to hear the rest of the album - especially the track with Bill and Charlie, and also the Keith trsck.

Not bad. Better than Don't Stop, but it's a bit reminiscent of Cyndy Lauper's Girls Just Want to Have Fun, or some other bouncy '80's pop hit...maybe something from Huey Lewis and the News.

QuoteHis Majesty A modern take on Brian's departure would be some form of 'quiet quitting'. Still, him leaving required a meeting to finalise that which was already in action. I'm certain Brian's fate as a member was effectively done when Mick Taylor plugged in at Olympic Sound Studios at the end of May 1969 and him accepting the offer to join them within a week.
